George Rogers Clark junior Vinny Zollo is climbing the charts in the recruiting circles. According to ESPN, Zollo is the top-rated power forward in the state and No. 21 in the nation. Zollo graded out with a 91, an indicator that Zollo has the ârare abilityâ and potential to start as a freshman for a program ranked in the Top 25.

Good to hear. I think that he will rebound nicely and end up at a good D1 school.

Zollo has a great game, amazing player, and should have a great college career, but better than Behanan?

I know that ND, Tenn and W Va are very interested. Vinny plays on one of the best AAU team there is, Indiana Elite. Plumblee, Zeller and, J Davis are also on the team. With the exposure they will get, I am sure he will see more offers this year. He is a great kid off and on the court and great grades. A work ethic you would not believe for a high school player.

Chane is listed as PF, but being recruited as a SF.
Talent wise, Chane is the best player in the state for 2011.

Why is Stenzel not rated but Corey Rogers is rated? I would think that Stenzel would be higher than a 40.
Zollo has worked really hard to get to that position after watching him as a Soph. I would have never guessed he would have made it so high.

Agree on Stenzel, he should be higher. On Cory Rogers, he will not be playing AAU basketball this summer, but concentrating on football, that is where his scholarship will come. One thing you have to remember about Vinny is that he was just coming off a broken leg his sophomore year. A new school and new to the style of Ky basketball. Also as I have stated before, he has a work ethic like no other high school kid I have ever seen.

I believe that 40 is not a ranking, it is the number used to refer to athletes that have not yet been evaluated. I could be wrong, but I think that's the way ESPN works.
I wholeheartedly agree that Stenzel will be highly rated once he is evaluated.

Just looked it up and Chane will be with All Ohio-Red this summer....the most dominant AAU organization in the country over the past 5 or 6 years.

They are good , but I believe you are streching it alot on how good they are. Also heard that Fant was playing with them instead of SS/DSAS this year.

I'm not stretching it all.
All Ohio Red's 17 and 16-U teams BOTH won national titles last year. Add Fant and Behanan to that U-16 team and it's easy to see why they'll continue to be the most dominant AAU PROGRAM in the country.
Their 17U group from last summer also won 3 straight national championships...only team to ever do that. I think it's safe to say they've been the most successful and dominant AAu ORGANIZATION in the country over the past few years.
Their 14 and 15 U teams also fared very well at nationals and national tournaments.

Not sure what your point is? But they were not ranked the same.
Elisha Justice, Ranked #79 in nation of the PG's and a grade of 85.
Elijah Pittman, Ranked #49 in nation of the SF and a grade of 89.

And Ricardo Johnson of Holmes is ranked a 90 and going to OHIO????
What i am saying is Zollo is overrated IMO O'Connor held he to 13 points in the Semi's of the 10th Region and play fantastic D and he's going to Tusculum College. For a GRC team that has ALL THIS TALENT they get on upset alert with Scott High every year and they come up short as usual to Mason Co. If i believe correctly in a recruiting database it has Vinny in the 1,000's!!!!

Ask and you shall receive...here are a few tidbits from an article, as well as the link:
The AAU boyâs basketball season has come a close, but the legacy left by All Ohio will not be forgotten anytime soon. All Ohio Red captured the 17-and-under and 16-and-under national titles, while All Ohio Purple earned the U-15 national championship. All Ohio Elite U-11 brought home the gold as well. It's an understatement to say All Ohio has something good going on...
....Over the past 23 years, All Ohio has produced well over 200 Division I players and six NBA players.
All Ohio earned quite a bit of ink over the past three years thanks in large part to the group that just finished a run of three consecutive national championships.
.....All Ohio consists of All Ohio Red, Purple, White and Force in the 14âs, 15âs, 16âs and 17âs.
And although All Ohioâs most prized team has graduated donât look for a drop off anytime soon.
The reigning U-15 national champion will also be back for more in 2010. All Ohio Purple beat an Indiana Elite team on its way to the title with two seven-footers and a six-foot-nine kid.
The 16âs will be back to defend its title in 2010 led by one of the best point guards in the Class of 2011 in Columbus Northlandâs Trey Burke and rising star in 6-foot-9 Nate Anderson of Teays Valley.
All Ohio Red 17âs won three consecutive Spiece Tournaments and a like amount of consecutive national championships, which is unheard of in the world of AAU basketball.
âOur fourteenâs were very talented this year, and we are looking forward to them moving up next year,â Watson said.
âTop to bottom All-Ohio is the best program in the country over the last five years. Ohio is not a major market compared to New York or California, but this proves just how much talent we have right here in our state.â

Zollo is also a 6'9 kid that can play both inside and outside. He is going to receive interest and offers on potential alone. Add the fact that the kid can play some ball, and that's why is he a big D1 recruit.
Only weakness I see in his game is that he needs to get stronger. I like both Fant and Behanan in this class more than Zollo, but Zollo is no slouch.
Ricardo could have had bigger offers than Ohio U but he decided to commit early, rather than wait until after his senior season. I know for a fact there were a handful of Big East and SEC teams ready to offer Ricardo had he not committed before the start of his senior year.
Justice is a great high school player (backed up by his Mr Basketball award), but simply doesn't have the size that translates in to being a big time D1 pg.

No, you can be a fan of any school, but obviously we need some education before we get on here.
