I think it was a one and done. I bet after the out come of last years game that JCHS would love to have another crack at them.

I thought Horn Lake was a two year deal?

This is a very very tough schedule for the Golden Eagles.

I can see JC starting 0-4 again this season. They could beat Sheldon Clark, but theyre gonna lose to Boyle by a lot, Bell by a lot, and if they have to travel to Miss , theyre gonna lose by a lot.

The schedule will make them better, and JC will finish strong and probably beat all four of the reamaining games you posted, and be rolling into the playoffs.

I will totally disagree with you. The Boyle co game last year jchs shot them self in the foot, well all four games they did this. Nobody stoped them but them. I could not attend the Boyle co game I had to listen to the Danville station. The radio group even said if they could just hang on to the ball. When jc held on to the ball they moved it. The bell co game central was right in the mix. As for horn lake , and Sheldon Clark who had a great year, even a blind sqirl finds a nut every now and then. Will be a diffrent year from last. I will agree that this is a tough schedule and will get them ready for the play offs.

Experience makes a huge difference in the early part of the schedule. A brand new QB with brand new starting RBs on the road in a hostile environment is a recipe for disaster, and I expect you'll see a much different, more composed backfield against Boyle County in the Nest this year. As for Bell County, that game was a six-point game at the half, which everyone seems to forget; fumbles caused the second-half implosion there. Also EIGHT fumbles lost against Sheldon Clark (in a game we STILL were driving for the tying score at the end, despite that ineptitude). Ball security was improved the second half of the season into the playoffs, and once we stopped giving away half our offensive possessions and forfeiting field position, the difference was night and day. I expect you'll see this team come firing early of the gates with some seasoned leadership. A real worrisome game on the schedule is Ashland on the road for me, with what they return and what happens at Putnam.

I couldn't agree more. Ashland returns a lot and you don't get any breaks at Putnam. If you let Ashland keep it close, you will lose at Putnam. Remember 2005 and "wide right"?

Come on.... I know it's hard to say that a team just flat outplayed yours, but give me a break. If the score was closer, I'd let it slide. Boyle won 49-7, though. Our defense came to play and FORCED those TOs. JCHS just didn't give us the ball, we took it. They didn't just let us score, we took it too.

So, sure you're right, the outcome had nothing to do with JCs defense unable to stop BCs offense or JCs offense getting shutdown by Boyle's stingy defense.....

Let's see. It was all the turnovers. :eyeroll:

Boyle ran up over 400 yards of offense despite playing on a short field.

The Eagles had 102 total yards of offense. (95 rushing and 7 passing)

Sounds like more than fumbles. Confusedhh:

So you are predicting a similar margin of victory for Boyle this year?

This was talkin about last years game, but.........Not really. I'm not going to say we'll win by 6 TDs. Not gonna say anything at all...It's way too early and we have alot of work to do. I will not disrespect your team before or after we even play. I do give credit where it is due....

If you thought JC was my team, you are mistaken. I've just been following the "debate" in the thread. Some JC folks want to attribute the margin of loss in seemingly great part to the turnovers caused by inexperience in the back field. Some Boyle folks want to say inexperience played little if any part in the margin of loss and that Boyle's defense caused the turnovers. If the former, with the qb returning as well as 2 of the running backs, the inexperience excuse will not be available to JC if JC gets beat big again. If the latter, then the margin of victory should be about the same (other than the home field advantage swinging towards JC this year). I was merely asking Hatz if he felt the margin of victory by Boyle would be about the same this year.

Okay. I wasn't implying that they were your team. I was merely answering the question at hand with a "little jab" to JC complaints. No harm...no foul

They are my team. You guys won last year, but I hope you come to the nest with the attitude that you carry your self with right now. I promise if you think that you are going to get that same team you beat, and I said you beat your wrong. I for one welcome you to the nest the best atmosphere to play high school football in eastern Ky. May the best team win.

AND THEY WILL BOYLE lays the beat down on the most over hyped team in the mountains. Most 5a schools would look impressive sitting in land of 1a 2a 3a schools. Said it once, and ill say it again, cant beat the big boys. Shot themselves in the foot and get bet by 40. take off the gold tinted glasses my friend. For those interested, Horn Lake game was bought out. Matney knows enough to stay away from that bunch of stone cold killers.

What attitude? The one seeking respect from the JC fans that say BC didn't win the game, it was "give to them"? Cause other than that, I have no attitude.

I plainly said I wasn't going to make any predictions. I plainly said it would not be a blowout, like last year. Do I need to draw you a picture? Do I need to color it?

You're barkin up the wrong tree. Seems you are the one with the sorry attitude..... IMHO

Is the Boyle County game still on? I remember Matney made statements in the Danville paper about not playing Boyle County this year. Did he have a change of heart?

Even if the latter is true, which I firmly believe, I'm not sold on the same margin of victory just yet. Like I said, we have work to do to get us where we need to be.
