Now that Honeycutt has withdrew his name, which I believe was the first choice, I Have heard that it is between Bentley, Parks, and a new name turned up, an assistant coach from TATES CREEK. Should be deciding today or tomorrow.

without Dave they cant win

Honeycutt may have more interest in the returning to the Knott County sidelines.

Nope, he will not leave Cordia for Knott. They are announcing BB King today as the new Knott Coach.

sounds like they are looking for basketball coaches who have not had to deal with football programs.

I don't think that matters, they are just looking for someone that will do a good job for them and they are taking their time making this big decision. Can't blame them for that.

He'd only put that program on a downward slide.

I don't believe those names are the only ones who have been interviewed. Who else made it through to the interviewing?

Have talked to a couple that are involved in the process and the leading candidate for this job is Parks from JBS. He is young, enthusiastic and has the coaching ability needed to compete in the 56th district and the 14th region. Bentley is a close 2nd and they should be choosing a coach soon.

Not been any news conference or anything, but I believe that Jon Bentley got the job. I'm sure there will be an official announcment made about it, but that is the word coming from the Bentley camp. Congrats to him, he will do a great job.

I wonder if he will keep the same assistants? They do a good job, but after not being considered for the head coaching job, I wonder if they will even want to help out anymore? many questions left to be answered.

David Feltner told me that he would probably be around next year

I"m sure him and Bentley will get along pretty well. I wish them both the best of luck.

I hope Bentley got it as believed above. He is a fine person and can become a good coach. He has assistant experience at Hazard and Perry Central.
