Actually, I was told 5 and there were over 30 applicants. So, I guess they will now talk to each of us and see which one fits what they are looking for the best.

I doubt that could it be an asst. at Breathitt,Justin Haddix would be a good fix for a head coach few will/are looking at him i am sure.. has great coaching skills and knowledge of the game and good with kids and good people skills,Holcomb will be at BHS till retirement age 55 is whats being said around Jackson.

There is no way a county school would even consider hiring that many new people. They would have to be looking for a lot of new teachers to replace a lot of teachers that are retiring.

I was thinking the same thing. This is not a site to campaign for jobs. I don't know JL\Mt. Warrior, but I wouldn't hire a coach who spent time on a message board. These sites are for players and fans, not coaches. Granted, coaches may look at the sites, but to lobby for jobs or argue with posters is not in the best interest of the coach or his team.
By the way, I thought Mt. Warrior was going to take a posters advice and not post on the site anymore?

The football program has had only 3 winning seasons. So maybe that's why they don't have any support. I mean look at basketball, they're winning. I do know that a lot of people love football in Knott County, and if they hired a coach and started winning, more people would come out. It's as simple as that.

Actually thought about applying for this job but didn't know how serious they were about developing a true football program. I hope they do well and get a great coach because you all deserve a good football program over there. I have always coached in Letcher County and year in and year out I see good quality athletes in that school and I have always said that they should be good at football. Coach Cobb won some games so I know it can be done if they get the right person into that position.

You have campaigned for every job comming and going using this forum.Come on now…1st there are a ton of coaches on here…who pump up their teams or voice their opinions about whatever. 2nd don't disrespect someone that has laid his life on the line for you! 3rd he hasn't said anything that wasn't professional...difference between him and you...he also has the courage to say who he is. Then you want to criticize something that you didn't like hearing and then criticize him.
