I seen the Newsome kid play last night. If she is just a freshman then she is going to be special by the time she is a Senior. She hit like 6 or 7 three pointers in the game against Pike Central last night. Unbelieveable for a freshman.

i mean carla booth is good but i think you all should watch
bevins play before you jump and say shes the best player in the region.

bevins averages 24 points a game, 56% 2 point field goal percentage, 64% 3 point field goal percentage, and 81% from the free throw line, shes also the third leading rebounder on the team. i mean you might not agree with me but thats consistency.

and she also is leading one of the most improved teams in the 15th region.
you all arent giving the young lady the credit she deserves.
i know this is gonna start a war and i know you all dont wanna hear this
but its a close race between her and carla booth for the best player in the region.

there are a lot of excellent players that never get credit, girls that go to small schools..piarist has a couple of players that should be reconized but are not because of where they go to school. it's kinda hard for 7 players to play a team that has at least 3 to 4 teams on the bench..one day these girls will go far with academics and b-ball skills..but hats off to betsy layne players, cause they have what it takes and alot more players to do it with

Bevins just got WYMT player of the week, after averaging 35ppg in 4 games, last week.

Scored 40 on Phelps one night, and 42 the next night on Pike Central.

If anyone don't think she's the best player in the region, have you a gander.
