It always takes Pburg half of the schedule at the very least to shake the football off. Congrats Pburg. The way other teams in the district are playing at this present moment, it appears Pburg may have enough steam to finish at least 2nd in the conference. They are building momentum for the district tournament, especially the way their schedule is laid out over the next several games.
Just wanted to post a side note to Michael Burchett - you're an amazing athlete and it's been a pleasure to watch you excel at several different sports over the years. I don't know you personally, but just wanted to say it's been fun watching you play sports in Floyd County.

Congrats to the Blackcats on a well played game. Burchett controlled this game and carried his team early when no one else was scoring and then Blackburn and Tincher starting helping more. I like Burchett's ability to get to the line. I also liked Pburgs awareness of when smaller player were matched up with Burchett or Tincher they immediately posted those to and took advantage of the mismatch. I thought AC's Jackson not starting really hurt his play as this was not a great game overall for him. This kid can get up and down the floor and score and just did not come out last night. Stumbo's shot never really came around either but he battle hard and got points in the paint.
I kind of got AC's strategy of fouling starting at the 2 minute mark but after the lead stretched because Pburg made foul shots and AC could not buy one, I did not understand why they kept fouling to the last 20 seconds of the game.

I'm waiting for "uhavenoidea" and "allen central rebels" to chime in on this post. Have not seen them yet.
Burchett could not be stopped. Stumbo was guarding him most of the night. They pretty much tried everyone on him last night and it didn't really matter who was guarding him. Prestonsburg came out really jacked up emotionally. I think that was why they missed some shots and made several TO's early. They settled down after half time and it was over after that. Tincher didn't score in the first half and ended up with 14 points 8 rebounds. The better team won.
I thought Stumbo played well for AC. He played hard all night and never quit. I was impressed with his effort. AC just doesn't have the size to match up with P-burg.
Great game Blackcats! Bring home another Conference Championship!

I'm sure "uhavenoidea" is trying to come up with an excuse to why Burchett and Prestonsburg did so well.

actually burchett did pretty well, maybe if the refs would quit playing as a offensive line for him and quit bailing him out.maybe he wouldnt have done so good. and stumbo plays that way every night.

Did I say P-burg would lose? Or Michael wasn't a good player and great kid to boot?
P-Burg is well-coached, and Michael is a fine player.
The District is up for Grabs.
BL only has 2 games left. @P-burg and @AC.
SF has 3.
AC has 3.
P-burg has 4.

Burchett had a great and I thought the T was not really called for, he didn't due anything that bad to warrant the T. AC tried at least 4 different defenders on him. Stumbo did not play D on him in the first half. AC tried to smaller guards and he posted them up and then AC went to Harlow and Burchett took him outside. In the second half Stumbo picked him up and I thought done a good job for a little while until he backed off a couple of times and Burchett hit a two three's and then he hit his grove again.
From the players I have seen in the district Burchett may very well be the best in the 58th. I have watched this kid the past few years and enjoy watching him compete.

This is a very weak District, all four would be at the bottom of the 57th.

uhavenoidea :devilflam- seems like he has no idea if he thinks the District isnt a 2 team race between Pburg and BL -:and thats it::igiveup:

The 57th isn't that much better than the 58th. Actually not much of a difference at all.
