I like this post AND I agree with you. Woah lol

Well I think Seneca already taught us that if we play like crap we will get beat to death.

This makes sense. Example, Kansas.

Others will contend and can beat them but it like to me that Knott Central has established themselves as the team to beat in the 14th region with strong game against Shelby Valley only losing by 3.And looking at their overall record.Perry has a lot of talent but has struggled in some recent games.Hazard could be a contender.I think they will be but they have been through some rough times and need to build on recent successes.
..Breathitt and Buckhorn can certainly be dangerous and knock somebody off.Breathitt has already proven that with big win over Hazard and of course Knott Central did it twice over Hazard. It will be an interesting region to watch.

Congrats to the Patriots on a good district win. This is the first game since an early season scrimmage I have seen Letcher Cent. play. Came away from last night's game with the impression this is not a team playing like one with a 4-9 record. Decent ball handlers, size inside and good fundamentals on offensive and defensive ends of floor. I know this is a complete different system with Coach Hammonds compared to Coach Justice, IMO this team should have a better record and not losses to some of the teams that they have lost to. Some might say players experience but I have to disagree because I recognized alot of players that stepped up last year and played well in big games. I for one came away from this game very confused on this team and coach Hammonds system. Maybe somone can give me some info? (UKN1)

Surprising score.

What is going on with Cox lately, seems like he is just standing around watching Stamper! Just an observation, but the last few games Stamper has been putting up a whole lot more shots than earlier in the year. Yes he has been leading the team in scoring, but he is also shooting the most shots at a very low percentage. I believe they need to get the ball back in Cox's hands and let him do a little more penatrating and dishing to Roberts and Bartrum. Hope they can get things back clicking like they were in November, maybe they peeked way to early, only time will tell.

Who were the starters for Knott last night?

where did you get your stats? Stamper was the player of the game for the Hazard game. I didn't attend, but believe that he was on the WYMT All Tourney team. It seems that both Cox and Stamper play well together.

KCC should have beaten this LCC team by as many as they wanted. They beat LCC last year at LCC more than this. LCC is rebuilding this season, did Caudill and Amburgey mean that much to KCC?

Not a JBS thread.

If you win by a lot people say you run the score up. If it's a close game people wonder whats the matter. No win situation for KCC.

this is true.

Surprised that the score was so close, were the Patriots still thinking too hard about their loss to SV?! But, atleast they won, Congrats to KCC!

I agree with you "PickandRoll" Stewart seems to elevate his game in big games and Tate seems to fade into the background somewhat.

If I was ranking top players in the region, at the moment, Stewie would be at the top of the list.
01-14-2010, 12:29 PM
I would agree with that. Stewart really stepped up in the Valley game. Without Stewart it may have gotten ugly. Cox is a great player, but yeah I'd put Stewart ahead of him right now.

14ths weakest two team make for a good game
