Top 20 Players in EKY
#31
Creeker Wrote:Yeah, that's him Matt St. John.... he's hard to beat, but on this site, EKY seems to start at Johnson county and end at Letcher... IMO Knipp could just as easily be said to be #1.

Yea, great post. I don't even argue with it. Justice is a great player, I think Knipp is better. But you know how the bandwagon rolls!

2.Knipp(tall, athletic, and a great shooter, would love to see this kid play hard in 1 game.)
3.Cox(good shooter but an even better passer)
4.Hatfield(tall and a great shooter from anywhere on the floor)

I think you have hit it on the head with Lion because I have watched him for years and he does it all effortlessly and it seems like it is nonchalant and there is so much more to his potential. It is so hard to get kids to understand hard work and the one's that do succeed like Justice and the one's that get the big shot are the Knipp's because the colleges are hoping they can turn him around into the player they want him to be, because of what is there. If you could just put Rudy's heart in all the potential. But this Kid is got another year of development and one thing I have watched over the years is Timmy doing that. He is a great kid that just need a smack in the you know what very know and again, but he will be just fine if he continues to do what he is doing and that is just be a kid and have a great time while your doing it.

Timmy Knipp and Big man for South Laurel, I think Matt Stjohn or something? I guess throw Justice in there and Cox....Knipp being the best without a doubt.

Honestly I totally forgot about those two. Matt Stjohn is defintely in the top 10 but he's a little overrated. Knipp would be one. Justice 2.

I heard Knipp verbally committed to UK. But that was during the BCG era. So I dont know if he'll still get an offer from Coach Cal or not.

Come on guys... we are talking about the top 20 here. Surely some boys outside of SV deserve some love too.

What about Burchett from Pburg, Parker from Johnson Central, Frazier from Lawrence County, etc... etc... :eyeroll:

Putting a top 20 ranking of players from EKY is tough. I'm not that familiar with any players from the 16th besides Knipp of Elliott Co.

This is true... as I would not be familiar with any from the 13th/14th.

If you are talking about raw talent then i think that both Trey Williams, Colt Barnhill, and Timmy Knipp are deserving of top 20 mention out of the 16th.
