I'll give them credit on the defensive end. On the offensive end, both teams done mediocre.

Agreed..to make john wall walk or carry the ball thats saying something and to force 21 turnovers on UK i saying something...I think everything went as planned for UL on defense and offense they just couldnt buy a shot

Kentucky was supposed to be Louisville by 7.5 points. They covered the spread.

Very highly contested game. I had never seen a game start quite like this game, 6 personal fouls and 3 technicals and one lost temper in the first minute. This game will not make any offensive highlight films. Neither team could hit the ocean in the first half. Louisville could have folded and quit the way they started the game by going nearly 10 minutes before making their first field goal. They kept playing and made a ball game out of it. The second half was more entertaining, still not easy to watch. Samuels is soft. Cousins and Patterson moved him around like a rag doll all game. Samuels needs to get tougher if UofL wants to be successful this year in Big East play.

Here's some stats of today's game:

Cousins-18 points,18 rebs.
Patterson-17 points,4 rebs.
Wall----17 points,4ast
Beledsoe-12 points 4ast

Bench- 7 points,9 rebs

Totals- fgm-a--3pfgm-a--ftm-a--stl--rebs--ast--to
---------24-52,2-14,------21-34--9--30----15---18
----------46.2%-14.4%----61.7%

Miller did not score.only played 8 minutes.

My take on the game:

UK did not played well, but UL had a say in that.UK will learn from this and the most importanr thing of all, they did get the W.

15-0 and now the real season begins next week vs Georgia and the rest of the SEC.
GO BIG BLUE

UK played probably their offensive game of the season and still won...How sweet it is to beat the little brother
#52
Yea but the Knee did not look intentional???
#53
I dont think the knee was intentional??? But Some how louisville out rebounded Kentucky..Something i didnt expect..

Not saying that the forearm that Cuz took to Swopshire was ok but before that he did take a knee to the head. Before the game Louisville players did not shake hands and were running their mouths causing words to be exchanged, Pitino even came out on this topic. Later in the game Samantha Samuels, I mean Samardo swung his elbow fighting for position knocking Pat to the floor and Pat was called for a foul on the play. Basically to say that Cousins should be ejected would be uncalled for because there were many actions on each side that weren't called or blown out of proportion.

Here is the knee to the head

That suprised me as well! It seemed like UK got almost every rebound except for the occasional tip-in or tap-around.

The stat sheets do not lie though.
#56
Samardos was part of his natural movement though...Rubbing somebodys head in the floor is not natural

Yea surprising..not many teams will do that...but the one guy that i was worried about for ville played the best of the big men i think..Jared Swopshire,

Sometime last year refs were informed that in the new rules concerning the use of elbows as the actions of Samuels that they were still uncalled for meaning that it would be the equal call as of what Cousins had done to Swopshire. The refs though seemed to blow both calls off, once again not saying what Cousins done was right but Louisville wasn't exactly not being dirty. The media brought attention to Cousins actions and that is what people are going to run with.
