The Timberwolves, continuing to rebuild by adding youth, acquired swing man Alando Tucker from the Suns on Tuesday, a league source told Sporting News.
Tucker, 25 years old and in his third season out of Wisconsin, has not been able to get playing time on the veteran-laden Suns, who were able to reduce payroll with the move. Tucker has averaged 4.3 points in 8.5 minutes over his career.
The Suns also sent a future conditional second-round draft pick and cash considerations to Minnesota for guard Jason Hart, who Phoenix then waived.
