I don't see how other than 6-3 how they could have raceland 4th best when russell done beat them by 7 without starting center Kayla parsley.

russell is 4-6 now with some close 2 and 3 point losses with parsley being out

I think Boyd should be 4th and Russell 5th. You must also say if talking about Raceland's record Russell's other 3 wins besides the one over Raceland. Those teams have a combined record of 6-23. Prestonsburg 2-9 West Jessamine 2-9 and Greenup 2-5. The lost to Pineville made Pineville 3-8. But I am saying that despite this I think Russell is top 5 now and probably better than Boyd If Parsley can make a full comeback. I hope she can good girl and good family.

The bottom half of this ranking shows just how weak the 16th region has become. Once you get past Ashland, Rowan and East there is a tremendous drop in quality of play. I hope that the "feeder" systems for the high school teams will provide the girls with quality coaching so we can get back to the days of several years ago when night in and out we saw great girls basketball. I have watched many of the Kittens games this year and some of the girls on opposing teams could not even dribble with their left hand or make a simple outlet pass. I love my girls doing great, winning and contending for the region title but if the region does not become stronger then it will be difficult to get them ready for the stronger teams outside of the region. A shiny won-loss record means nothing if you go to state and get blown out. And we have seen that happen to our region champ in the past.

its the quality of talent all over the region
the winner of this region will get smacked down at state most likely

when you think about it we live in one of the smallest areas for a region out thereso hence forth the talent level isn't up to par with other areas of the state. they could use abetter feeder program in about all 16th region schools
