while I partialy agree I still think we bottled Spiller up...He really didnt hurt us at all except for the one big reception he had which should have been a recovered fumble if Cobb falls on it rather than going for the scoop. His avg per carry up untill the last drive was 3 yds, 3 yds short of his season avg. The player in my eyes that killed us was Parker (even though he only had 8 completions) and Harper. If you take away the cut back lane on Harper this game turns out differently IMO. We held Spiller to a season low just an FYI

I say that, especially when you compare him to Randall Cobb (UK's best player) who had 36 yards rushing, 20 yards receiving, and -2 on punt returns for 54 yards total?

Locke had 170 all purpose yards, but of those 76 were on 4 KO returns (credit to UK for kicking their 3 kickoffs to Spiller deep and in the corner of the end zones)

One more thing, I was looking at UK's schedule. Other than Florida holding the UK offense to 7 points, the Clemson defense keeping UK at 13 is the next lowest output of the C-A-T-S CATS CATS CATS' season.

Kept him well under his season avg in every facit of the game tonight. You couldnt expect him to be totaly contained...So yes comparing his season avgs (in which he was severaly hurt and is said should have sat out some time) to having a month off and getting healed up in which he stated during season he was playing about 75 percent to he felt 100 tonight, I will take and say we bottled him up considering how terrible we contatined other backs this season. But hey that JMO

I was very disappointed in Cobb's performance tonight. I think a year of injuries and being the only legitimate threat for Kentucky offensively caught up to him.

They had two 8 win seasons and never lost 7 games in a year over this bowl streak so obviously you didn't follow them that well. And I would hardly call two wins against Georgia including one on the road, a win against Florida State, A win against a top ten Louisville team, a win against the number 1 team in the nation and eventual national champion LSU, and a number of road wins in the SEC "cupcake victories"
So obviously you do not understand or realize just what Kentucky and Rich Brooks have accomplished in his time at UK

Competing in the SEC with fewer scholarships than everybody else, and who cleaned it up? Rich Brooks. Brooks has worked miracles in Lexington, and I picked this team to go 5-7. They shouldnt have done any better than that, but with wins over Auburn AND Georgia, they outdid any true and reasonable expectation. So quit trying to talk sense into many of these people, they wont understand it. If UK isnt challenging for a national championship in football, fire the coach. Flat out, bottom line, UK got beat by a better football team last night. The fumble that lead to Spillers touchdown KILLED the Cats. Other than that, I thought they played fairly solid.

As I saidin the prediction thread the key for Kentucky was to slow Spiller down, force them into passing situations and force 3 and outs. That was the key for them to even have a chance at this game. They did all of that, however, Parker had possibly his best game of the year and managed the game very well for the Tigers. Maybe not the best game stats wise but that was the smartest game he has played.

Clemson was about even with UK I wouldn't say better since uk cost themselves with the silly fumble inside their own 30 down 14-13 with 11:22 to go in the 4th.

You guys forget that Clemson was so close in going to a BCS game. This was no cupcake team. We only lost by 8, and really played this team well except in the 4th quarter.

We made mistakes down the stretch the cost us this game, just as it cost us a few other games this season. UK done a really good job with the inexperience we had on offense this season, but plays weren't executed the way they should have been which led to terrible plays that reflected back on the coaching staff. Clemson had a very talented team and they shown it most of the night with Spiller, Ford, and their O/D-lines.

People really have no idea how difficult it is to win in the SEC if you are a program like Kentucky. I would hope that Brooks decides to stay one more year but says going into the season it will be his last. There are so many things left that he came close to accomplishing that I'm sure he would like another shot at. And yes they did play solid last night. They have played solid most of the year. They had a game plan and stuck with it and without a turnover late in the game I honestly think they win that football game. They were moving the football and Locke was eventually going to break off a big play with the way he was running.

I actually had this discussion with some friends today and think that it might have been a good idea. But to be honest if it takes something like that to get you up for a bowl game and a chance to win your last game of the year then your mind isn't right anyway.

That is how the forum is set up, the thread had been open for a month it had ran its course. The discussions there and here were becoming seemingly the same. The site is ran with pre-game threads, and then post game threads with the scores and discussion about the actual game at that time the pre-game threads are closed. That is the way it has been since the beginning and I think it works out the best way. This way the forum stays more organized. :Thumbs:

i hope Rich Brooks doesn't coach next year because he don't know what he's doing at all. just wonder if Joker will be the same or better than Brooks when he gets there.

He is the only coach to win 3 bowls in a row. You have to go back to the early 50's to fine another coach to do that. He beat #1 LSU. Auburn at Auburn, Georgia at Georgia. These two teams is hard to beat at home.
If UK would have Cobb at QB on 3rd down in the Tenn game. They would have beat them.
If Brooks step down next year. UK football team will need alot of help. Joker wont do as good of job with that team, as Brooke done.

Until UK let the football team, get 85 players. They will never get past 4-4 sec record. They got that many players now, But they are losing alot of of players. Way would they go to UK, when they can go somewere else for free.
