It's how they are at the end of the season. If it takes losing every regular season game to get a team ready for the playoffs then so be it. When you have a returning team with a bunch of inexperienced young players and a first year QB, you sometimes end up struggling and rely on week to week progress to develope. It's all practice to go into the real season. JC's staff that you so eloquently critcize should rather be praised for tackling the early season opponents they scheduled with this very young and inexperienced group.
Louisville Central lost what 5 games two years ago? They never finshed at #2 though did they? I believe they were state champs , weren't they? Yep, I believe they were. They lost 33% of their games , and they were #1. Bottom line, your little comment just got torn to shreds, and you know it!!!
But you already know all that stufff, dont you? And no, your certainly not new to the game. Your just grasping for staws trying to come up with something, just anything in a drastic and desperate attempt to camoflauge your own denials of being wrong. Just anything to save face after all the smart elleck comments and the nasty little remarks. Wow, what an ego!! I'll give you credit though, you went down fighting to the bitter end. ...lol

You people make my head hurt.
We'll be waiting at Eagle Field in August 2010. You boys better pack a lunch. I think you'll find it to be a little bit different than your experience this season with the Golden Eagles.

Quit wondering if you were this or that. John Hardin is the 2nd best team in
5A and until you pick up move the school to the west you will have to beat Highlands every year. Yeah, I know that sucks for you. So, hit the recruiting trail and find some players becasue you got Boyle Co coming to town Week 0 Aug. 20th will be here before you know it.:biggrin:

No! So they are not even the "First Loser"! They play A WEAK 1,2 and 3A schedule and then think they can "Make a run at the title" Guess what Gipper, not gonna happen! You'll never even win a Regional Title with that kind of schedule! Be happy with being a "Big fish in a LITTLE POND" Because thats where your at! History says so and I say so!:flush:irateSho

The strength of schedule argument is probably the silliest one that has been made against JC being the second best 5A team in the state. Here is how Massey ranks each 5A team's 2009 strength of schedule. If JC's schedule was not strong enough to prepare them for a run at the title, then neither was John Hardin's.

nky Wrote:Exactly. Because of the district's strength, Scott plays a stronger schedule than most teams in its class each year but that strong schedule has not helped them much that I can see. Teams have won state titles playing a much weaker schedule than JC played this season, so IMO, its schedule is good enough.

I love this thread!
Johnson Central is the second best team in 5A. Here are their credentials:
* 8 -5 record (.615)
* Four consecutive losses (three at home) to open the season. Included are Boyle County's 49-7 dismantling of the Eagles. A beating so bad that it prompted JC's head coach to threaten not to play Boyle next season. Also included were a 36-6 pasting at the hands of mountain rival, Bell County and a 33-20 loss to a bad Horn Lake, MS team; both at home.
* A defense that gave up 28 ppg, including seven games in which they gave up 28 points or more.
* Three games against highly touted state powers (Boyle County, Bell County, and Highlands) all ended in losses by a combined score of 124 - 34.
* Eight wins against teams with a combined record of 44-49 (.473)
* An exciting 62-41 brawl with 2-9 Scott.
* A 21 point loss in the third round of the playoffs.
:worthy: Hats off to the second best team in 5A! :Cheerlead
