Brooks files report with SEC over officiating
#1
Rich Brooks filed an official report with the league Monday questioning the officiating of Saturdays game versus Auburn here are his comments from his press conference:

On last week’s officiating...
“I sent my report in to the league. I’ll make my call to get some explanations. All I’m going to do (if I worry about it more) is spend needless energy on something I can’t control. I’m going to continue to focus on Vanderbilt. There were some bad calls, but it’s time to move on. They aren’t going to change them now.”

Hmmm....wonder if we can find a copy of that report and see what calls he is talking about....

Good Article TC68

And if anything does happen from the SEC....all they will say is that the officials were wrong on such and such play(s) and they are sorry. Really helps UK...I'm glad they might get a sorry!! Rolleyes

This got me...but it's all so true...

"The Daily Independent" Wrote:“It isn't conscious, I don't think, in most cases,” Brooks said. “If a team is supposed to win, they're supposed to make plays and the underdog usually is not expected to make plays. Sometimes there are more bad calls that go against underdogs than go against favorites, let's put it that way.”

Been this way all season. I'm still hot over the Louisville calls.

That would be one play, but on auburns 1st drive when they fumbled on the 3 or 4 and we recovered and they called him down.

The call that got me (and I was at the game) was in the 2nd Quarter when the Auburn receiver shoved the UK defender out of bounds and consequently caused himself to go out of bounds as well. The receiver then came back in bounds at around the 3 yard line, was the first person to touch the football, which he ran in for the touchdown. The crowd went crazy with "Boos" and one of the UK coaches eventually got tossed from the game, and Auburn kicked off from UK's 35 Yard Line!!!!! The refs, overall, were awful. I'm not saying UK could've won the game, but the score definitely would've been closer had the refs got some calls straight.
