South Floyd 95 Betsy Layne 90 (OT)
#1
Final from Hi Hat

Very exciting game to listen to. Both teams turned the ball over a ton. Turner, Hall, and Marson had huge games for South Floyd.

Congrats Raiders!!!
#2
Congrats to to South Floyd with a GREAT win in a great game!!
#3
Nice win for SF
#4
Must have been a very good game. Congrats to both teams
#5
Nice win Raiders!
#6
Huge win for the Raiders, best game they have played in a few years. #32 for SF was the difference, I think his name is Light, his defense was relentless and caused fits for BL. Worth the money to watch this game tonight, I didn't see one of BL's starters from last year,Maldonado, does he still play for BL?
#7
Big time district win for the Raiders here. I figured the Bobcats would have won this one by double-digits.

Congrats SF!
#8
Nice win for SF, high scoring games are always fun to watch.
Hard fought game from both teams.
#9
Very good win for the Raiders, This game could have went either way and was very close. Marson was huge in final minutes and in OT.
#10
very good game to watch.....the bobcats had simply to many turnovers jordan newman played great for the bobats he had 21 points and 13 rebounds bryce adkins had a big game with 18 when he went out with his 4th foul it really hurt the bobcats. another thing that hurt the bobcats was the loss of maldanodo he was a good ball handler off the bench and they really needed that tonite. as for south floyd they are a much improved team dakota hall played huge and so did brandon marson
#11
Congrats SF. Nice win!
some bad calls were made...even the announcers said so.

I have to give a congratulations to NEWMAN (#44) from BL. (21 points, 13 Rebounds per the radio) EXCELLENT GAME KID. He brought the bobcats back in the final minutes of the 4th quarter. Give him the ball more inside!!!!

Good Job to both teams!!!

Nice three by Johnson and Nice Dunk by Martin!!!
#12
Tough loss. Turnovers did it. Awful lot of talent with Bl. Need to step up defense and where is their point guard?
#13
First off the Refs were horrible.
but i agree good game by both teams. NEWMAN was AWESOME. he carried that team on his back the 4th quarter. i believe he maybe one of the best in the region. (if he'd play to his potential)
a lot of bad calls were made. to many to mention.
Good game to Adkins also.
Martin seemed nervous. what was the problem??
over all it was a barn burner.
can't wait to watch this game at the Dome. Maybe it will be called fair.
#14

The losing team always feels the ref were horrible. The fact is though the refs never miss foul shots at the end of a game or down the stretch, they never committ turnovers and they never take bad shots. I heard both coaches during and after the game tell the refs they did a nice job. This was a great district game hard fought by both teams. BL will bounce back and be tough the rest of the year. I hope SF can build off this win and play to there capability the rest of the year. If they do that district will be fun to watch.

Great game!

Refs tried to take it from SF, but Raiders were just too much!

SF is scary talented and played wicked D!

Tommy Joe didn’t play and SF still had 5 players in double figures!

Go Raiders!!!!!

It's hard to blame the officials when you had such a close game that went into overtime.

Betsy Layne missed Maldonado and need his experience. I don't understand why Howell isn't starting at point guard because minus Maldonado, he's the most experienced player for that position. Nothing against Derek Tackett, but at this point in the season I think he would benefit BL more by giving some minutes from the bench.

Jordan Newman was a beast. No one for SF could stop him, but the Raiders did a great job at keep Nathan Martin from getting into sync - especially early. Too many turnovers for BL.

Congrats South Floyd, that was the best basketball people from Left Beaver have seen from the Black/Silver (please no purple jeez) in a long time. Gutty effort from Wes Light off the bench. Brandon Marson played awesome in overtime. Dakota Hall was stylin' with the doo and slashing to the hoop. Newsome found his role with the 3's, Shannon Turner what can you say awesome at both ends and Corey Paige did a bang up job spelling the guys inside and had some critical rebounds. Keep figthing Raiders and just maybe, you'll reclaim your place at the top of the conference. Go get'em Barry!

Last night's game felt like a district championship game. Awesome job both squads.

I thought Betsy Layne would win this one. It shows what I know. Dakota Hall from South Floyd really impressed me.

I'm not sure where the announcers where from. But it was the ones who were announcing the game on the radio.
It was a wonderful and exciting game. Can't wait to watch the 2 teams match up at the dome. It should be interesting. BL had way to many turnovers in this game and they need to work on DEFENSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sounded like a great game congrats SF keep it up BL

Great Great Game!

Betsy Layne
Newman done very well the second half, smart move on JR. Newsome's move. Turner had 3 or 4 fouls and they just kept going to Newman and it paid off as Newman scored most of his points in the second half and causing Turner to foul out. I thought Bryce had a good game as well (Nice pull-up J's). BL also got a big boost from Howell with 11pts. Overall good effort from the Bobcats.

South Floyd
Finally looked like a TEAM. Got some work to do on the defensive end still though. Tremendous effort by Wes "Flash" Light(#32), coming off the bench for 11 BIG points and several steals/hustle plays.

Marson(Mr. Clutch) was something like 99/100 FT's in the 4qtr./OT. Just kidding. He did however hit some Clutch FT's and Clutch Shots. Finished with 18pts. 5asts.

Newsome was strokin the 3, 4/6 from deep.

Dakota Wall, I mean Hall lol. Just kept getting in the Paint and when BL collapsed, he just fed the corners as Newsome and Turner hit 4 3's each. Finished with 22pts. 11asts. 5rebs. 4 steals, 2 blocks.

Shannon "Dbl.-Dbl." Turner lead the Raiders with 24pts. and 10rbs., 4 blocks..As he found himself open numerous times for easy put backs and treys.

Corey Paige, stepped up big in place of Tommy Joe Hall, with 6pts. and numerous hustle plays/rebounds.

Overall great team effort.

Good game BL.

Congrats SF.

And Get Well Soon, Tommy Joe Hall.
