Final. Will take on Rowan Thursday in the finals of the EKC. This should be a good one between two of the top 3 teams in the region. Ashland, Rowan, and East are the top 3 teams with a pretty good drop off after that.

Rowan may be better than East now we will see on Thur. I don't care how many they give up to Rowan. I have seen the teams around this region play and all 3Ashland, Rowan, and East will beat any other team in the region by double digits. now saying that Boyd, Russell, and probably Russell are pretty evenly matched. But they are not on the same level as these top three. If East gives up more points to Rowan so what does that? What if East gives up more to Rowan but scores more against them than Russell did? East will when they play beat Russell by double figures just as Rowan did and just as Ashland will when they play. You may not like that but there is not to many upsets in girls bbal talent wins out and this season those above three have the most.

I'm not buying east yet like i am ashland and rowan.

Never said they were Gods they right now are probably the 3rd best in the region. But they would beat Russell, Boyd, or Raceland by 10+. That is the way it is I to think the paper was wrong putting West 4th. They are not what they once was and Russell, Boyd and Raceland are all better than West just not up to East or the other two.

One other point that has been left out of Russell's outcome with Rowan is that Rowan had two players go out of this game one pretty early and still did not play on Mon. v. West I hope both are back and at full speed on Thurs. that will make the game that much more fun to watch. Because both of these teams can get after you on the defensive end,

Because both of these teams can get after you on the defensive end,I have made that point in the rowan-russell final thread. I still don't think they score close to 81 on russell like they did west even missing the 2 players which one of them got hurt sometime in the 3rd quarter and the other in the 1st.

I agree I think Russell is 15+ points better than West. I also think Russell or Boyd is the 4th best team in the 16th just a ways back (15 to 20 points) from the top 3.

East beat Russell by 10 52-42 last year Russell returns 4 starters out of 5 and seem to be more athletic this year.
last year ashland beat east by about 14 or 15 them and rowan are likely by far the best 2 teams again this year. Rowan beat east by 21 last year.
Rowan #1
Ashland #2
#3 to be decided
Rowan even beat ashland by 13 last year.
Ashland beat Russell by 11 last season
Rowan beat Russell by 32 last year beat west by about the same, this year they beat Russell by 19
I really think Russell has improved this season not good enough to beat Rowan but maybe east or ashland

You have your opinion but being from Russell I think it may be a bit clouded. I am not from East just a bball observer and I think most people in the area outside of Russell would agree with me that East is double digits better than Russell. Compairing as you have done about your game with Rowan I think Russell plays Fleming on Friday lets see if you beat them by more than 24. I personally think Russell will have to play well to win. I think Russell will win, but would not be say shocked if they did not.

You left off two important points in your above info. You failed to mention that East in Feburary last year also beat Ashland by 5 and Rowan by 4 (the only game Rowan lost in the region). Lets just see how the game on Friday at Fleming (because I do think Rowan will defeat East on Thursday)turns out and maybe it be a little clearer.
