WWE Superstar Umaga Dead at the age of 36
#1
WWE superstar Umaga passed away today. Umaga, 36 was a former WWE Intercontinental champion. Umaga’s real name was Eddie Fatu, he won millions of hearts in a short span of his WWE career.

Ken Anderson (aka Ken Kennedy) has recently Tweeted “Say a prayer for my boy Umaga.” Though the cause of his death hasn’t yet been known but it was reported that he was admitted to hospital recently, his wife apparently found him not breathing with blooding coming from his nose.

Few moments ago news came out that Umaga was hospitalized in Houston, TX, today in what a long-time friend said was a life-threatening condition, his family was also called quickly.

It is being speculated that Fatu a.k.a. Umaga had a heart attack.

Umaga, a Spring, TX resident was recently released by WWE in June after failing a drug test and refusing to attend rehab. Before he was released, he had just completed the Hulkamania tour in Australia.

When he was being taken to the hospital, it was already said by the doctors that he was in “grave condition,” which means, there is very little one can do to save him.

He failed a drug test as well. Went to TNA, but couldn't stay clean there. Now he is running the independent circuit with Jerry Lawler's son, Brian Christopher (another drug failure casualty).

Thanks SD. it wouldn't suprise me if some thats on the Current Roster of both WWE & TNA wasn't on Drugs. Does Vince own TNA, like he does everything else??? i like TNA somewhat better than WWE.

I hate to hear that about Umaga, if I'm not mistaking he was one of the two if I am not mistaking (Jamal or Rosey). RIP.

No, TNA is owned by Dixie Carter, a Country Music agent and friend of Jeff Jarrett

^ I have never seen a policy, but it is supposed to follow the same plan as the NFL.

Sad new's. And btw is that the real Dusty Rhodes?

I dont think Rikishi failed a drug test in TNA. I think he was actually workign without a contract and they could never get one settled.

Didnt the Hulk recently buy part of TNA or something? He was talking on Bubb theother day about it as well as at the UFC fight.

Joust wanted to clear up a misconception a while ago in this thread Rikishi was not released because of a failed drug test. I found this on the internet-

Fatu, however, was released by WWE on July 16, 2004, following repeated requests from WWE to lose weight.

Fatu continued to wrestle on the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Independent_circuit"]independent circuit[/ame]. In October 2005, he shortened his ring name to Kishi after being notified by WWE legal representatives that WWE owned a trademark on the name "Rikishi". Fatu, as Kishi, would go on to operate [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nu-Wrestling_Evolution]Nu-Wrestling Evolution
, a professional wrestling promotion based in [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Italy"]Italy[/ame].[43]
On February 17, 2007, Fatu competed as SUMO RIKISHI in a tag team contest at an [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All_Japan_Pro_Wrestling"]All Japan Pro Wrestling[/ame] event, as he was brought in by [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keiji_Mutoh"]Keiji Mutoh[/ame] to feud with Akebono.[44] On August 12, 2007, Fatu competed in an 8-man tag, as Rikishi, at Asistencia Asesoría y Administración's TripleMania event. On August 23, Fatu competed in a Triple Threat match against [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samoa_Joe"]Samoa Joe[/ame] and [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sterling_James_Keenan"]Sterling James Keenan[/ame] at Ballpark Brawl VIII in Buffalo, New York. On November 17, wrestling as Rikishi once again, Fatu defeated Mike Rollins at a [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heavy_on_Wrestling"]Heavy on Wrestling[/ame] event in Duluth, Minnesota.
On the September 13, 2007 edition of Impact!, Fatu debuted in [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Total_Nonstop_Action_Wrestling"]Total Nonstop Action Wrestling[/ame] under the ring name Junior Fatu. Fatu faced [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Reso"]Christian Cage[/ame] on the September 20 edition of Impact! in his first match, which he lost due to a distraction by Christian's partner A.J. Styles. On the October 25 edition of Impact!, Fatu faced [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Roode"]Robert Roode[/ame] in a [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fight_for_the_Right_Tournament"]Fight for the Right Tournament[/ame] match, which he won due to interference by Samoa Joe. On October 30, however, it was reported that Fatu had been released from TNA, due to he and TNA management failing to reach an agreement about a pay raise.[45] Chris Harris took Fatu's spot in the Fight for the Right semifinal match.
On March 28, 2009, Fatu debuted in Revolución Lucha Libre, a Chile based promotion, under the ring name "Kishi". In his first show, he faced Ariki Toa for the Absolute International Championship, RLL's major title. Kishi defeated Toa by pinfall with a Banzai Drop to win the title. After the match, [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Savio_Vega"]Savio Vega[/ame] assaulted Kishi. On November 21, 2009, Kishi reunited with [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Master_Sexay"]Grand Master Sexay[/ame], and the duo defeated [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orlando_Jordan"]Orlando Jordan[/ame] and [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eddie_Fatu"]Umaga[/ame] in a tag team match on the Hulkamania Tour of Australia in [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melbourne"]Melbourne[/ame].
