JH's regular season schedule is pitiful with only 3 teams with a winning record (Doss 7-5 Bullitt 8-3 and Central Hardin 6-5). The rest of the teams had records of 0-9,6-6,2-8,6-6,2-9,0-10,2-9. I think Highlands will win their 19th with relative ease.

Highlands built a 42-0 lead by halftime and the game was played with a running clock after a Bluebirds field goal early in the third quarter made it 45-0.
Both of Pulaski County̢۪s touchdowns came against Highlands̢۪ reserves. The Maroons lost quarterback Zach Eastham to injury early in the second quarter. They were already playing without Chris Muse, who started the year at quarterback before a season-ending knee injury in late August.
The Bluebirds will play for their third straight state title next week against John Hardin, which beat Bowling Green 28-21 on Friday. Both teams head into that game undefeated. The Bluebirds have won 27 straight games.

After last nights game I heard 3 middle aged Pulaski fans talking about how it is unfair that Highlands plays in 5A. They said they should play in 6A or a private division because they live close to Cincinnati and get all those players( for those who do not know, once agian, HHS has very, very few non Ft Thomas residents on the team every year.). And a Kenton Co fan at the game stated that it is not fair that they let players like Collinsworth come to HHS to play (for those who do not know, he has lived in Ft Thomas his entire life.). I love when people continue to try to make excuses why they can not beat Highlands, and refuse to accept the fact that it is hard work, dedication, and good coaching that keeps Highlands winning( and a great youth program). You could tell from the stands that Pulaski players did not put as much work in the weight room as the HHS players. Alot of teams and fans just do not understand what it takes to stay at the top.

Highlands took this one early, Blitzkrieg style, on a cold night in Ft. Thomas. Patrick Towles continued to prove what an outstanding QB he has become. What a season for him after coming in late in the 3rd qtr against St. Xavier. I was impressed with Donovan Mccoy. He appears to be Towles backup next year. I don't know how AC held onto the ball with that plaster block on his hand. I have a feeling Dale won't be taking him out of the game next week. He needs to make up for lost time. Bardo reads the D very well in the backfield and has stepped up nicely. Drennan is an absolute magnet for the ball. The catch in the corner was Top 10 worthy. Buten stole one as well. Pulaski reminded me of when the Birds played Scott. They had no answers. Much of the same story in Ft. Thomas last night. Next week the Birds face a more difficult offensive scheme that apparently they've had trouble stopping in the past. This was a great confidence builder going to Western next friday.

Anybody that thinks Highlands gets their players from Cincinnati is sadly mistaken. Highlands football is almost cult-like. Those kids live in the weightroom and drink the kool aid from the age of infancy on and if you lived in Ft. Thomas you would understand. It aint for everybody but it is for many folks and that is why they are good year in year out.

Wow. Why does it seem like a different idiot post this same line of drivel every day? Highlands is a PUBLIC school. It is also a 3A school (i.e., small student population) that plays up to 5A. There are 5 public (including Highlands) and 2 private schools in Campbell County alone. Why do you think all of the good players from those teams want to leave there friends to play for the Birds? Highlands has a 3A school population, they play in 5A. What more do you want? My guess is Whitley has a much larger school population. But do they have a 50 year old junior football program that starts grooming future players in the third grade? I do agree that it is a shame that some of the best mountain teams have been snuffed out by the Birds over the past few years. Since Highlands has such a top notch program from the ground up, it would only seem logical to move the program to the highest level and compete there on a consistent basis. The Ft. Thomas football program has become sort of an anomaly in high school football of late. It's sad that the kids that work so hard in the mountains won't get a chance at tasting State as long as Highlands lingers around.....Hope whatever happens is for the best of all and not just the few.....

THE CASE-CRACKER! You have done it cougarpride08! WOW! It was right there but we were too blind to see it. We were too worried about our phones and texting our girlfriends then taking football serious according to cougarpride08. Not to mention if we were as DEDICATED as Highlands were we would not be having this conversation. But he is right at least 25 times during the game we had to make our players get off their phones on the field, REALLY, Think about it, at least 3 td's went by because our linebackers were texting(lol) I tell you what, Mr. Wall would be proud of you cp08.
