Checking in: Knott Co. Central
#1
From Jody Demling's blog in the Courier Journal...

With two of the state's top scorers, Knott County Central is certain to draw a ton of interest as they play a tough schedule this season.

Tate Cox (left), a 6-foot-1 guard, averaged 20.7 points a game as a junior and 6-2 Stuart Stamper was also right at the 20-point mark for his team a year ago.

Both are seniors and expected to put up huge numbers.

There will be plenty of opportunity for the state to see the two players, including a Dec. 5 contest against McCreary Central in the Battle of the Bluegrass in Frankfort.

Knott County Central will host Hazard on Dec. 17 and then make its way to Fairdale for the Dec. 18-23 King of the Bluegrass Holiday Classic.

After the holidays, Knott Central will play in the WYMT Classic and meets Tates Creek on Jan. 16 in the Kentucky Prep Classic at Montgomery County.

There's a Jan. 29 game at Perry County Central, a Feb. 5 game at Hazard and a Feb. 12 game at home against Perry County Central that will also be tough games.

The game with McCreary will be a dandy. Cox vs. Watts will be worth the price of admission.
