Bengals 16 - Browns 7
#1
Bengals, first time in franchise history go 6-0 in the division and go 8-3 on the season.

Bengals dominate the game offensively, but just can't count scores. A consistent theme this year has been the penalties that have taken big, first down exection plays away due to dumb mistakes on the line. Bengals finished with 11 penalties for 75 yards.

Johnson gets his opportunities, and he does not disappoint. Johnson and Scott combine for a dominating ground performance. Johnson finishes with 102, Scott with 87. Bengals have 212 on the ground

Palmer had a very average day. He would go 4-4 and drive the Bengals for a score, then go three straight 3 and outs and miss his receivers bad. Palmer finishes 13-24 for 110 yards.

The Bengals commanded the time of possession, 36 minutes to 23. They doubled the Browns in total yardage 300-170.

The Browns are flat out bad. The Bengals played down to the competition and defintely did not prove they should be in the same discussuion as the other Division leaders, New England, San Diego and Indianapolis. After watching this team and their miserable performances against teams the last two weeks, teams that the Bengals should have dominated if they truly are a playoff contender.

Next up, Detroit, another BAD team. Will the Bengals figure it out, or play down to the competition again.

Bengals have won 9 of the last 11 against the Browns

I just saw that the Bengals have held their last 7 opponents to under 100 yards rushing. That's sure different from Bengals defenses of the past

Congrats to the Bengals! I really think that this is the year they go to the Super Bowl and Marvn Lewis proves and shows why he was hired to coach the Bengals!! WHO DEY?!

It was good to see the real Brady Quinn show up today.

yea, Agree lol.

Bengals just keep on winning!!!

I agree with Star though. They do not look like a team that will compete with other divison leaders. Earlier in the season yes, but the last 2 weeks have been a struggle. Im excited to see if they can get it together and actually put the Lions away early.

Any W is still a W though. WHO DEY?!?!?!

Sometimes it's good to just get the win. Today's game sure was UGLY, but a win, any win, is always welcomed in the NFL. Last week is enough proof of that. Now we're 8-3 and hoping for 9 wins after Detroit visits town next week.

I tell you something, though. I've noticed the Bengals have played much better this year as the underdog. Case in point:

Games where Cincy was favored: 2-3 record

Broncos, L (12-7)
Browns, W (23-20 in OT)
Texans, L (28-17)
Raiders, L (20-17)
Browns, W (16-7)

Games where Cincy was the underdog: 6-0 record

Packers, W (31-24)
Steelers, W (23-20)
Ravens, W (17-14)
Bears, W (45-10)
Ravens, W (17-7)
Steelers, W (18-12)

It's amazing to think that the only games Cincy has won as the favorite were two ugly wins over the Browns. I think it is pretty obvious that the Bengals play to the level of the competiton.

Great work here. This adds to the point that I was attempting to make, that the Bengals play down to inferior competion, and find ways to execute better against the better teams.

We always play down to horrible teams like oakland and cleveland. The game was boring but a win is a win. Who DEY!? i would like to see Carson passing the ball more but if we can keep running like we have been i say keep on keepin on!

Its on when Benson comes back. We may see a multiple back 100 yard rushing game. **** we almost saw it this week. I just hope Ocho doesn't end up getting mouthy for them throwing the ball less. I do love to see him going across the middle more now, it shows he's no punk.

WHO-DEY! I went to the game and it was very sloppy. Carson Palmer could not pass at all. Larry Johnson did a great job though. Congrats Bengals.

Might have not been the prettiest of games, but a win is a win! WHO DEY!
