According to the Charleston Gazette the Mark Snyder era is over. The coach thankfully has resigned. 22-37 in five years. 6-6 this year. Thank goodness. Now if WVU football coach would quit and the Steelers get a new special teams coach I'll be happy

Marshall should have stayed 1AA. The move to 1A has been a disaster for Marshall. Pruett won games, but ended up getting Marshall put on probation. Snyder was given a sucide schedule of not only at least 2 BCS teams every year, but a 7 year series with WVU. Snyder ended up 0-14 vs BCS teams.

How could Marshall be in 1AA . They have gone and went to some bowls. Went undefeated one year and finished 10th in country. Almost beat Ohio State and Tennessee. Did beat Kansas St one year when they were 6th in country. They have been down. Started with change in conference and probation.

Their athletic department is in a deep financial hole. Going from the MAC to CUSA increased their travel costs. They have only had one sellout at their expanded stadium since the expansion in the mid 90's. That was 40K for the WVU game in 07. Their last two home games drew 15K each. They forced a 7 series with WVU with the Governor of WV's help. It has been ill advised. Marshall is 0-9 alltime vs WVU.
