Tough loss for the Eagles, you had a great year.
11-04-2005, 11:59 PM
From the updates MAD. South. had it but fumbled and now JC is trying to mount a comeback.
11-05-2005, 12:00 AM
yes. this is correct. the ashland announcers just corrected theirselves..

All of a sudden this sounds like the Presidential election when CBS called Al Gore the winner, then had to retract it.....ha ha ha
It wasnt your fault QQ !!!

WOW! And I was so hoping for a APB - JC rematch...I had my leave scheduled and everything....this would have been the first time I would have actually looked forward to that 6 hour drive to Ashland....bummer.
11-05-2005, 12:11 AM
i didn't plan on reporting it but after 2 and a half quarters of looking for sc and breathitt on the radio i went to the jc station and got on here and noone was posting
11-05-2005, 12:12 AM
Never no Ashland might not be there that week either.
11-05-2005, 12:23 AM
JC good year and do not hold ur head downs becuase next yr u will be loaded. and do not count ur eggs becuase anything can happen in the tourney 1 team @ a time.

Soo what was it??? mud cleats, six inches of mud on a grassy field, or field goal posts too short?? (sorry had to do it) Tough loss for jc, hate to see it. actually I cant beleive it. so what really happened?? (no pun intended) is m.s that good or did jc have a bad game??

Johnson Central had a excellent season. Would of loved to see the potential matchup of Ashland and Johnson Central take two.

This answers the question to why many people were picking Mad Southern over JC, apparently they have the better football team. Blume finished with 16 carries for 74 yards from what I could hear and 3 catches for 88 yards. JC finishes with 5 turnovers if I heard correctly.
Congrats to Madison Southern and have a safe trip to Log Mountain next week. As for JC, you had a great season. It's sad to see a player like Ron Blume go, but the Eagles will rebound next season under Matney.

Bet ole Matney will be cryin' about that field goal until kickoff next season! His staff and him continued to bark about that game, and looks like they were not prepared to face MS. As a coach you have to make your team put closure on a loss like they took to Ashland. He failed to do that, and now the roundballs are bouncing at JC.

I think your right JCJ they were all looking forward to APB just like APB was looking to JC only APB was prepared for a much weaker Clay Co.

Don't forget Mad. South. may have really had the game against Bell stolen from them so they could possibly be the best team from that district.
11-05-2005, 12:44 AM
Very true Catdawg.
11-05-2005, 12:44 AM
CD could you explain the whole MS and Bell "stolen game" theory??
11-05-2005, 12:46 AM
From what I've read Mad. South. was driving to win or running in or something and the ref. didn't blew the whistle by mistake and it resulted in them not scoring and losing the game by one score or something like that.

Read the thread titles JC Elm Street. I think it also has a poll on it. Pretty sure I wrote it down in there.

It sounds like MS has been flying in stealth mode

No excusses here MS is a very tough team. They may not be any better than Ashland but they are just as good and if Bell Co. and Rockcastle Co. beat them IMO Ashland better get ready for a war with whomever they play. I have not heard any stats on the game, JC play a good game, made some costly mistakes that came back to hurt them.
Hats off to a great year I know Johnson County is proud of the school and of the team and coaching staff.

Mad Sou is the real deal. JCHS did cough it up 3 times and threw 2 int's. But, they couldn't stop the pass and that's what did them in. MS will give Bell fits.
Congrats to JCHS for a real good season. They have 7 of their top 8 lineman back next year. That ended up being a very strong point for them.
