Top Players in 16th 09-10
#31
What was the reason for her leaving? How many schools have they transferred her to?
#32
I heard that he didnt see eye to eye with coach watkins. Whats going go happen when get mad with coach at fairvew? He is running out of schools.
#33
I agree. She is being sent the wrong message, IMO. She played with them this summer and then leaves? I don't know what happened but it seems to have been something sudden.
#34
I thought the KHSAA already ruled her eligible . She is a very nice player, a good competitor who plays hard and a nce person. Let those who make the decisions handle it . I wish Kayla and all the girls in the 16th the best of luck.
#35
I trust the KHSAA about as far as I can throw them. Just like someone else said on here, there have been others who have had to sit out that had legitamate moves and from what others have said I don't know how legit this move was. Doesn't matter really to me either way, I just want the rules enforced the same for her as it has been for others. Like the Phelps boy who had to sit out at Ashland, why him and not her?
#36
Dont worry Cat Scratch Fever you are getting two Rose Hill boys, that should make you happy...should they sit out as well? As Luther stated ...let it go...you must have a boring life to get on here and stir up controversy. People from Fairview and Boyd have both confirmed that it was a legit move and have said that their house had been for sale for well over a year...Rose Hill should worry about other things with the KHSAA then a girl that is no good and over rated.
#37
I am not the only one that is asking questions about the transfer and whether it is legit or not and I could care less who Rose Hill is getting for their boys program. My life is far from boring and this forum is open for discussion. If you don't like the subject or the responses to it then go somewhere else. My life is not boring but talking to you could put me to sleep.

If Day is ruled eligible (which I am sure she will be) is a non-factor in the ranking of the 16th region. The fact remains she is a decent player, but will not make an impact with Fairview being a contender in the 16th this season. As for the young men transferring; Adams sat out last year so he will be eligible. Not sure about Gregg.

CSF, I did not state that Rose Hill was receiving new players but that Rose Hill was losing 2 players thanks to Dirk and Dicky"s many lunches at O'Charleys.

Seen on the boys thread that Rose Hill is not going to have boys basketball this year does anyone know if the girls are going to have a team.

This couldn't be true. We know Ashland is above recruiting.

Thats right the dinner Dirk had at O' Charleys and left the $500.00 tip. When i heard that one I spit my maroon kool-aid all over my computer screen.

Top five in this order

1. Conner-ashland
2. Marshall-east carter
3. Lewis- raceland
4. Dietrich-ashland
5. Ferguson- elliot
#45
I'd take Ferguson over any of em.

What a starting 5 ! Dietrich the point, Ferguson the scoring guard, Marshall the 3-man, Lewis the 4 and Connor in the post.:worthy:

All but Lewis played AAU together for Kentucky Gold. Perry from West was the four. They were fun to watch.

With 2 of the top 5 players in the region then Ashland must be a shoo in to go to Diddle...
#49
I don't know about shoo in but they probably should be the favorites. Nice balance of players, couple of pretty good athletes and experience too.
#50
Rowan and East might have a say in that. Hasn't Rowan won back to back titles? Not to say Ashland won't win it, but I'm not sure they're the "favorites"; seem like this same discussion went on last year with Strait and Wilcox, and an improved Connor.

I agree that the favorites are Ashland, East and Rowan. Any of these 3 have a good shot at the title. I might give a slight edge to Ashland just because the 16th region seems to be lacking in the 5 spot this season. If Connor plays to her ability she will be hard to stop. Dietrich is also a very good compliment to her inside play. Of course team chemistry and injuries always have an effect on who ultimately wins out. Good luck to ALL the 16th region teams!!!!

LOL. So many things wrong with this list, it's hard to figure out where to start.

So why don't you give it a shot? I'd love to see your list.

Day is a nice player but not in the top ten.
#55
I agree Day is a nice player and a good kid but if she is there you would have to list some other names that are just as equal( Chaney, Farris, Gambill, Jones, etc)

You are correct and let me add if Bill doesnt play Gambill abd Farris valuable minutes then a trip to Diddle will be prolonged yet for another season.
#57
I think Bill and his coaching staff will put the best 5 on the floor. I believe it could be different at times depending on situation. Both players are good and hopefully understand the situations.
