Doesn't playing top quality teams as tough as Breathitt did SC and Prestonsburg count for nothing?

I wish i could go to this game but i don't get off work until six, because this is going to be a good one.I hope Breathitt defense comes out to play friday night. I don't know a whole lot about Somerset, but I have heard their a passing team and the bobcats have struggle with passing teams.P-brug and LCA had some big #'s against the Bobcats, but i thought we done really good job against Hazard. From what I have heard that their O is similar to the Bulldogs. I'm sure Coach Back will have the defense fired up and ready to play.
GO BOBCATS!!!!!!!!!!

Pike Central hasn't played Breathitt this year.

Good Luck Bobcats.

I don't see the Bobcats as a "comeback" team because all of their loses were to quality teams. I don't know what the Breathitt players did during the off season this past winter, but it seems as if they have played themselves into shape. couldn't have happened at a better time.

Yeah, I don't get the whole comeback thing either. Breathitt was a preseason favorite to get to state again, they have a D1 signee in Fugate, and they've been in the 3A top 10 all season.

I still do not think they have beaten anyone to say they have turned things around, but that changes tonight. If they beat Somerset, they have a very good chance if going all the way.

MR.PERFECT Wrote:Hold on a minute here. Let's look at the good teams they played, lost to SC, lost to Pburg, lost to PCC( good but not great), lost to JC, lost to Lexington Christian. Barely beat a good but not great Hazard 7-3. I know Fugate didn't play or it would have been worse. My point is they did not win or beat the good teams. To say "comeback cats" makes no sense because they did it against Powell, Wayne and Garrad, who are not very good. Beat a good team, beat Somerset, beat somebody good for once this year.
That was my point exactly. And they couldn't.

Shouldnt this thread be about P Tilghman rather than Brethitt?

In the weakest district in the state.

It is the weakest District in the state but, we did improve as the season went on. We played well against Somersets district opponents and scored 26 and 60 on those two teams. Breathitt is going to have some rebuilding to do with Haddix and Fugate gone but we should be not as predictable next year. We have some good young players who played this year in key roles coming back.

I agree. Breathitt has some great young talent coming back, but losing Haddix and Fugate is tough. I am going to miss those guys. I just want to thank them for all the great memories and the videos so I can watch them anytime I want. A lot of talk about Channing and for a good reason, but Haddix was always there in the clutch and really played good this season through some tough times.
Good luck in the future Bobcats.
