Breathitt County @ Somerset 11/20

Somerset 34
Garrard Co. 20

Somerset 9
Wayne Co. 0

Breathitt has not beaten a good team so far this season, it will be interesting to see how they respond in this game.
Somerset outscores the two teams bu 23
Breathitt Outscores the two teams by 76

Both of those games were played in the rain in very poof field conditions. There's also this score that you forgot to add in:
Somerset 63
Estill County 14

Breathitt 35
Estill County 6

Comparing scores really isn't an accurate way to figure out who's going to win. Sometimes the score doesn't tell the whole story due to field conditions, injuries etc.

Is the school next to the stadium the Middle School?

Yeah, the stadium is right next to the middle school. They're on the left as you come into town on Highway 80.

What does the visitors seating look like?Any pics?Should I get there extra early?

There is plenty of seating. I think the stadium seats a little less than 7,000. I'd say about 2,000 of that is on the visitor's side. The bleachers are elevated and you should be able to see over the team just fine.

Somerset is capable of beating Breathitt, and Breathitt is capable of beating Somerset. These games are great to watch! I wish both teams the best and hope there are no injuries. I am pulling for Breathitt, but respect the other teams in 3A that are left. The Bobcats will not walk over anyone from this point on, they will have to earn the right to advance.

With all due respect to SC, the game earlier reminds me of the game in 2008 with Estill Co.. Breathitt had several opportunities to win the game despite playing like crap. I would think this time around, Breathitt would win by 2+ td's.......I think the winner of the Somerset\Breathitt game goes to state barring a huge upset.

idk how you can say they go straught to the state championship. i'am not going to say they will because sc plays good one week then horrible on another but sc would be the favor over breathitt if they play agiain.

dont mean to be rude but thought this thread was breathitt and somerset nothing mentioned about SC there. anyway i look for breathitt to roll past them. yes somerset is undefeated but who have they played.

The same can be said about Breathitt. Who have they beaten? The only wins they have over teams with a winning record are a 4 point win over 1A Hazard, who is 8-4 and a 29 point win over 7-5 Estill County. Somerset has a 4 point win over 5A Pulaski, who is 9-3, 13 and 49 point wins over Estill and a 2 point win over 4A Knox Central, who finished 7-5. It isn't as though either team has beaten Trinity, Xavier and Highlands.

This prediction doesn't surprise me. You would pick against Breathitt if they were playing a grade school team. I am assuming you are from Bell County because most of you guys hate Breathitt due to the fact you guys are not the only mountain team that is known for bringing home state championships.
Jealousy is a bit**.

I think that Somerset is forgetting that Breathitt plays better on the road than @ home. There more focused and play with a totally different attitude than when they play in Jackson. I'm sure Somerset will figure this out when there down 12-0 by the end of the 1st quarter.

Somerset's schedule- http://scoreboard.12dt.com/scoreboard/kh.../?id=30329

Looks like they played Russell County, Pulaski, and Danville, those are the toughest teams they have played. One of the teams on their schedule is left in the playoffs and that is Pulaski. Breathitt has 4 teams they played still alive in the playoffs with Hazard, Prestonsburg, SC, and Johnson Central. If strength of schedule is any indication, Breathitt has the upper hand, but I do not think it does. Whoever is better on that particular Friday will win. Go Bobcats, leave no doubt!

Channing Fugate and the rest of the Bobcats will turn the "briar patch" into their own "touch down patch".

Actually, Knox Central was probably the second best team that Somerset played this season. They were much better than Danville or Russell County.

Neither team is going to roll in this game, not by 3 touchdowns, or 2, may be by one, or an extra point may make the difference. I see Breathitt getting out with the W though.

did i say breathitt played a tougher schedule NO. I am just saying that everybody talk's somerset up because they are undefeated but they dont have any impressive wins either.

Look at the teams both have played P'burg will more than likely be in Bowling Green,Johnson Central is still playing, and Hazard is still playing, all good teams, SC will not get by Pike County Central so looks like Breathitt and PCC at Mike Holcomb Field..Hoping that anyways...Bobcats needs to keep on playing team ball and mixing it up some more, and a special Thanks to about 5 freshmans Shouse,Trent,Fugate, cox and Watkins they have grown by leaps and bounds getting tougher every game, and who can say Big Ben Alex is doing his things and doing it good,Zack Epperson has shown he is man in time of need catching the football, hopefully Josh Fletcher showed what he can do and that makes Bobcats winners!! Go Bobcats!!!

Okay, Breathitt hasnt beaten a good team and Somerset set has played a good team. But thats like the pot calling the kittle black. So lets get over that. Its going to be a great game on friday and thats a fact. Both teams are firing on all cylenders and the Defenses are playing great.
