Ross Pearson continues to be a clinch fighter but this time he looks fantastic in the trenches. Aaron Riley seems very tentative about the whole fight and if we believe Joe Rogan Riley is not implementing the gameplan of MMA guru Greg Jackson.

Ross Pearson opens up a huge cut on Aaron Riley's forehead and the fight is called. Pearson looked fantastic in the clinch but we have yet to see him be tested by a top wrestler and there are many of those in the UFC's lightweight division. In WKR's opinion the verdict is out on Ross until he defeats a fighter who wants to wrestle.

James Wilks vs. Matt Brown is underway and the first round is fairly even.
11-14-2009, 10:24 PM
Close first round but I think that Wilks sealed it with the takedown.
11-14-2009, 10:24 PM
Flying knee from Matt Brown!!! Wilks is rocked and is in trouble.
11-14-2009, 10:30 PM
Matt Brown destroyed James Wilks in the second round. Even Wilks' reversal at the end of the round was upstaged by Brown's last second triangle choke.
11-14-2009, 10:31 PM
James Wilks gets a solid kimura in but loses it only to see Matt Brown mount him and pound out a victory (that doesn't sound right).

Matt Brown def. James Wilks via TKO (punches) - Round 3, 2:27.

Wow
11-14-2009, 10:41 PM
Winner looks aggressive (too bad he wasn't at the TUF 9 Finale) and drops Delgado with a right hand
11-14-2009, 10:43 PM
I think we have our "Knockout of the Night" winner

summary of the Tito Ortiz interview to hype UFC 106, "I had back problems but those are fixed (unless I lose). I was closest person to beating Machida (except Shogun actually beat him). I am the greatest!"

11-14-2009, 11:51 PM
The British crowd does not appreciate Mike Swick's attack on Dan Hardy's groin.

Why did they have an illegal reproduction promo in the middle of the fight?

Round 1 ends with a nice flurry

Don't expect to see Brock Lesnar in the Octagon any time soon, according to Dana White.
11-14-2009, 11:53 PM
Hardy opens the frame with a killer punch
11-14-2009, 11:53 PM
Swcik and Hardy trade bombs but Hardy lands a left that rocks Swick
11-14-2009, 11:55 PM
Dan Hardy def. Mike Swick via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28). It looks as if "The Outlaw" will fight Georges St. Pierre. I feel sorry for Dan.

UFC legend and Hall of Famer Randy "The Natural" Couture makes his return to the light heavyweight division seeking his third title run. Standing in his way is the supremely talented Brandon "The Truth" Vera, another former heavyweight who has looked impressive since bringing his punishing brand of Muay Thai to the 205-pound division.
