Somerset will win this game by 2tds. They got the speed on D to stop Breathitt Co. running game. I don't think Breathitt can beat anyone with there passing game.

I'm gonna take Breathitt by a TD. Somerset will be exposed Friday night.

Yep, that's the Briar Patch!!!!! Come on over next week, should be a good one!

Breathitt has won six straight and they are playing there best football right now which doesn't set well for Somerset and the rest of 3A. Jade is throwing the ball well and Channing is running as hard as I have seen him since last year. The Defense is playing great and Breathitt is now playing as a team. As long as Breathitt stays healthy and continues to play as a team the sky is the limit for the bobcats. Breathitt wins this game 35-21.

This is going to be a great game, with both teams seeming to have hit their stride. I think that with the game being at home for Somerset that Somerset wins 28-21. The winner may be the favorite to win state.

There's nothing to expose. Somerset is not a fluke, they are a very, very good team. Breathitt may win the game next week, the Briar Jumpers aren't unbeatable but they are a legitimately good team. This is not the typical Somerset team that beats you with their passing game and speed and tries to outscore you. This team can run the ball and play defense--they are much more physical that the typical Somerset team. Should be a great matchup at Somerset next week.

This should be a great game... I'll take Channing Fugate and the Bobcats by a touchdown in a barnburner!
Best of luck to both!

I hope somerset wins to shut up all the breathitt fans who think they have 3a in the bag.
11-14-2009, 01:52 AM
somerset will win this game and advance to the 3A state semi-finals
11-14-2009, 02:08 AM
um somerset roles even though i would like to see SC and Breathitt meet up one more time to see if fugate has improved some!!

Agreed, this Somerset teams reminds me a lot of the 2005 team with their physicality, defense, and strength in the running game.

Breathitt will make an example out of Somerset and hush some of the naysayers. These Bobcats are on a mission...it started back at the Hazard game when some of the younger Bobcats on an injury riddled team had to step up and play big...they did and everyone is back healthy with Haddix slinging the ball like a gunslinger with his two starting wide outs back and Chaning Fugate running the ball as well as ever. The defense has also really come together to play as a unit. A very stingy D at times that can make the "big stand" on the goal line if need be. Somerset will be licking their wounds for some time after this game. Halcomb and the Bobcats will show the Briar Jumpers how to play at another level.
Breathitt 42

Fugate will run the ball for 250 yards and 3-4 tds against Somerset in the big 42-14 victory for the Bobcats then people will start to mention his name again in the Mr. Football scenario. Haddix will catch the eye of some college scouts too with his incredible all-around play whether it be throwing the ball, running it, or playing tough D.
I really feel for the Briar Jumpers...it has been a great season up to this point, but they must face such teams as the Bobcats and learn from it if they ever want to take it to the next level. The film from this loss to the Bobcats will probably be used as a teaching tool a lot next season in Somerset.
WAR BOBCATS!

We will see who is laughing come Friday night. I plan on making the trip so I should be laughing and grinning all the way home. You and the "Briar Jumpers", on the other hand, will be crying your selfs to sleep after the dominating display by the Bobcats on your own home turf.

I think Breathitt wins 28-20, but it could go the other way. Find a way Bobcats, Beat those Briar Jumpers!
Somerset 34
Garrard Co. 20
Somerset 9
Wayne Co. 0
Breathitt has not beaten a good team so far this season, it will be interesting to see how they respond in this game.

We may not steamroll them like eveyone is saying but I think we will win by at least 2 TD.Untill then us and Central are the 2 teams to beat.
11-14-2009, 11:45 AM
if breathitt plays like they did against garrard, i dont think there is a team in 3a that can stop them.

Plenty of parking, right next to the field. Should not be any parking issues at all.
