For example: Caverna 1-9, Jenkins 1-9, Todd County Central 0-10, Knott County Central 1-9, Webster Co 0-10, Mercer Co 1-9, Southern 1-9, Madison Central 0-8. I could keep on going but i just wanted to list the worst of the worst that made it into the playoffs. Of course every one of the listed teams lost in the first round by a blowout via the #1 seed. They really need to do something about this because personally even a 3 win team shouldn't make it in. So what i think they should do is either let the top 3 seeds in and give the #1 seeds a first round bye or only let the top 2 seeds in but that would probably cause way too much controversy. If you wanna keep 4 seeds in the playoffs i personally think they need to go back to the 4 class system.
Every kid that puts on shoulder pads and play are not undeserving.

In all other sports in the KHSAA every team makes District tourny.Wait a minute....(1)1 plays 4, 2 plays 3, (2) winner of 2-3 plays winner of 1-4(3) winners advance to play for the Regional championship.(4) winner advances to state semi's. It's a regional playoff system, don't play for a district title, it's already been decided reg. season. This is not a district tourny, It's a regional tournament. Winners advance to the regional championship.

Too much basketball mentality used when evaluating this situation. I agree that Khsaa football format is such that the winners in fact do advance to play for their perspective regional championships. I also agree that the district champions have already been determined in their regular playing seasons. If you don't earn your way in, you simply do not deserve to be there. How can you justify economy with 2 1/2 to 3 hour bus rides and 60 point mismatches. It's rediculous quite frankly.

2 1/2 hour trips, paying officials, majority of opening round scores with a plus 35 point margains hummm.

If you can't even put a competitive team on the field why should you be in the postseason? The teams that don't even win a game have done absolutely nothing to earn their way into the playoffs. You should have to accomplish something before you get into the post season.

More importantly, they would be rewarding the top team from each district for having a great season by giving them an automatic pass to the second round. This is PERFECT!!!! KHSAA> YOU NEED TO LISTEN TO THIS SUGGESTION. Reward the 1 seed with a first round bye, best format yet. Need to take a look Mr. Tackett. Too many 70 points scored games in the first round this year Take the top 3, B.S. for an 0-10 or 1-9 team in the playoffs.
That is my point exactly!

Give it a break guys. Let the kids play. Its not you out there. The kids love the chance and it extends the season for all of us true fans that hate to see the season end. Some people just are not happy unless they are complaining about something. You are focusing on the blowout 1 and 4 games. Let snot forget the number 4 teams that do great. Just took them a little bit to get things going. Simon Kenton is a great story as to why the 4 seeds should be in. They had a terrible start to their season last year. They did not win their district. they were picked by the NKY coaches poll to be the best that season. Next thing you know they are the number four seed. And were did they go? All the way to the championship game. I say leave it the way it is and if your team is out they are out, go paint they house or something. If they are still in go out on Friday night end enjoy it and be glad that we have these extra few weeks of the season to enjoy.

How many private schools are there? The last time I checked it was 11, but that could have changed.
Extend regular season to 11 games, and only the district champ and runner-up qualify for playoffs.
