That was you guys with the live ram. For the record, let it be known that I am totally opposed to such practices.
The only thing we did with a live animal and a scoreboard was barbecue a pigeon.

I need some help here guys. Some people on the "OTHER" site have been calling us idiots. Now i know we all want our respective teams to win, but we are just poking some fun at each other and having a good time. Which you absolutely cannot do on the "OTHER" site.
If you are not a butt kissing suck up you will not last very long on the "OTHER" site. You can't be objective without getting kicked off because of spelling errors. It was said they we are the 1% that ruin it for everybody. I think we are the ones that are looking at the lighter side of the game. We are not the ones TAKING OUR LUNCH BOX AND TCB and other junk like that. We are not the ones seriously anylyzing the heck out of every stat from every game played between the 2 schools. We aren't the ones giving each other reach arounds while we kiss each others butts either. we are having a good time and it's free. we don't have to pay a fee to pucker up for each other. Tell me what you guys think.

For what it's worth I think we are the ones, well most of us, that have it in perspective. This is about sports and alot of people take this stuff way to seriously.

The guy never played a sport that I can remember.
Answer this. Who is the bigger idiot? A guy that pays money to be allowed to express his opnions only in a way that a few people who make high school sports seem like life or death see fit. Or, a guy who talks about sports, has fun with it, even acts a little idiotic and trash talks a little and doesn't pay a penny. Seems pretty obvious to me.

I enjoy both sites. I do like the well mannered strict rules of the other site. And I really enjoy the college football section on the other one. I like this site as well because it's a little bit opposite. So I get the best of both worlds. Others might not like that. But I guess it's all personal oppinion. But I have really enjoyed this thread this week on here with Fball, GOREDDEVILS, and Ram-A-Devil.
Other than the people stating the obvious that our field isn't as good as others this thread is pretty entertaining. You think we don't know that? You think we wouldn't change it if we could? I would say Raceland's next project is a new field. But I believe it's going to be a middle school to house all the junior high kids we have nowhh:

I agree. I like both sites as well.
As for Raceland's field, I don't mind watching a game there. It's good to see the local teams get together for a rivalry game no matter where it's played. I don't think it would be good for Russell to drop Raceland in favor of Wheelersburg or one of the West Virginia teams. Those teams are consistently good and Russell has many less students now than they did in the late 80's. Russell most definitely had good teams back then, probably better than many of their teams this decade, but they lost a lot more because they played much tougher teams. The playoffs were usually a dud as well because they ran into powerhouse teams quickly, sort of like Ashland does now! What excitement would that bring? We'd constantly be trying to climb a mountain we can't make it up. We could be coming up on a few years of Russell schedules where fans can almost automatically chalk up losses to Ironton, Ashland, and Mason County. I don't think we need any more automatic L's on the schedule.
As for the Russell/Raceland game, it will be interesting to see if the weather and flu play a part in the outcome. It's probably very likely they will. If they don't, though, then the key to the game in my eyes would be whether or not Raceland can stop Travis Jones. He's pretty much a one man show for Russell on offense.
Raceland has the potential to have some success in the passing game against Russell because I do think Farley is a good QB. A consistent pass rush from Russell would help to limit the completions, though.
From what I've seen, Russell's special teams are better. Tanner Locey can connect on FG's and Nathan Taylor has punted well all season.
I think it will be a good game. I pick Russell to win it 28-14.

I disagree with you about adding Wheelersburg. Russell was able to beat Wheelersburg 1 time in the home and away they had with Wheelersburg a few years ago.
I would rather Russell play a game they would have to win by 3 rather than beat up on Raceland which is likely what will happen more often than not.
The main thing I see with the Raceland game is the gate money.

The score of the Russell-Wheelersburg game that we won was 34-28 Russell.

Raceland should be fired up Friday night, not only playing a rival, but it being Senior night, should be playing their best. I know the Rams will have their hands full trying to contain the running game of Russell. Should be a good game, hope no injuries and wondering if the rain will hold off?

welham @ QB, Morris and Spears boys and others.
Remeber it was the first time for i forget how many years russell beat ashland even @ ashland.
I really enjoyed the greenup-raceland game, not much of the russell-ironton, seemed like russell movin to many QB's in and out. I'm lookin forward to this raceland=russell game, should be a good one. Kinda thinkin raceland gona be in a pumped up mood with it being home coming/prom and wanting a win after the bad loss of last week and home field.
Russell seems to be getting it together as the season goes on.
But I'm still leanin toward raceland as the underdog, but would like to see russell win, I went to russell and have a grandson just startin to play ball there.
Either way it should be a good game, weather might even have a hand in who wins, but either way, good luck to all the kids playin, have fun, 100 years from now who will remember anyway
P.S. I'm new on here but have really enjoyed reading everyones point of view and posts

Ryan I hate to disagree withyou but in you efforts to be politically correct I think you are selling your team a little short. If 7-3 or 6-4 is a down year than your program is in pretty good shape.
