REDHOUND NATION! Wrote:Glasgow, Bad news for you... IF.. we win conference Corbin that is, We will play you all in the first round! Not like last time, we are healthy! Hopefully no one gets hurt so we can see the real out come of the game.
The "Bad News" is that we are in different divisions of the playoffs. I would like to see that rematch as well. We were missing two starting linemen when we played Corbin but are full strength now (with the exception of the RB/CB that was hurt during the game with Corbin). Instead, we get to play your conference rival, Meece Middle.
Corbin has a really tough draw in the tournament. Assuming you beat Southern Pulaski, you will have a very difficult game against Meade. Then you would have the Shelby West/Bluegrass winner. That is just brutal. Best of luck to you.

Haven't seen them this year, but they were very tough last year. Very good size and speed. They appeared to be a more run oriented team in the game I saw. However, they were dominating the game and didn't have to pass. I know that they have beaten Meade twice this year in close games and Meade is very good.

Does Lexington Catholic have a good 7th and 8th grade team?

Good luck tomorrow night. It's a great experience (at least for the winning team) to play a rival when a championship is on the line. We haven't played since Oct. 2.

Bad idea to compare teams from last year to this year's teams. I am sure many of us can point to a number of examples where compare teams from previous years does not hold up.

The Bluegrass game is going to be a good game. They were the state champs last year (they have a 6, 7 & 8) combined team, so the boys who were 6th & 7th graders that were on the state team last year are back again, and there were some 7th graders that won "all state" that are now 8th graders. The negative is they have a new coach, so not sure how that will help or hurt.

What happened to their old coach? DO they still do the same stuff they did last year? They were fun to watch last year running their version fo the wing t.

I won't feed the rumors, but let's just say he moved to another school as an Asst. coach. It's hard to say, they aren't having the blow out games they had last year, and they are allowing more points than they have previously. They do have the size and speed they had last year. I think once we see how they do against Shelby West it will tell us where they are. They really haven't gone up against any teams except Moss Middle that was outside their region, so the Shelby West game will be a good guage as to their ability.

Does anyone know where Bluegrass Middle play their games? Is it at John Hardin High School?

Bluegrass Middle is literally right next door to John Hardin High School.
Bluegrass has their own field (we played there in a 7 on 7 a few years back).
Last year when we played them in the first round of the state playoffs, we played at John Hardin's Stadium though.

At this time, we expect the first round will be at John Hardin, of course, weather conditions could force a change to Bluegrass field. But as the poster above stated it's literally within walking distance, as a matter of fact the Bluegrass boys still use their home locker room and walk the parking lot for game time.

Thanks for the info... Hopefully the rain will move out of here by next week and it will be a little warmer than this weekend is going to be...
