Yes you guy's may be better this year, but that doesn't mean a thing. I would love to see you all play Ashland. They would shut you up real fast. IMO, Yes it comes down to winning and losing, but Greenup has won the bigger game just by playing as a team, accepting new changes and not giving up. So I am proud of them only if they win 2 games this year. Even though they will win more then that. Because I have faith in them! You stand by your team no matter what. That is why we are called the FANS. You guys sound a little over cofident that you are going to win, you know what happens when your alittle over cofident? It usaully backfires just ask Raceland.

Maybe it seem's that way but it's not the case. Not at all. Lawrence County is a beatable team. We may be better this year but it doesn't mean a thing? Last time I checked, it does! I would love to see LC play Ashland also. It would be a much better game than you insinuate. A lot better than 51-0 or however bad Greenup was beat. LC is not over confident. They remember losing to Greenup last year 19-0 and they will be ready to take care of business. I will be the first the congratulate Greenup if they win the game. I think Greenup has a chance, but Lawrence County has a much better chance. Best of luck to both teams. Friday can't get here fast enough. Let's go Bulldogs, it's time to show some of these people up north what Bulldog football is all about. :notworthy

Just to let you know our 7th and 8th grade teams beat the Bulldogs last night, which may not mean anything, but the seed got planted into their heads that GC is building a winning program, when Coach Copley came in, and took over, we knew we were going to not be outworked, we may be the best 2-4 team you will face all year, we're not going down without a fight, and you need to strengthen your schedule, and who knows, if Sheldon Clarks td., had not been called back, your dream of a perfect regular season would of been over, might of been LC's refs, so see you at the game, good bye for now.

Ya have to give Greenup for turning things around after the Russell game. They have played both Raceland and Rowan close games. I still think that the Dawgs have the better rushing attack.

All this talk about this is the same LC team from the past few years may be true, the roster is mostly the same with some additions to the team this year that help out, but they played hard all season last year and they implimented a new offense this year that is hard to stop with all the weapons they have. If you key on one of the guys, the other 3 or 4 are going to burn you. They do a great job of using their blocks, and the offensive line is doing a awesome job, a lot of the time the LC backs aren't being touched until 5 yards down the field. I think LC's defense is going to make the difference as it has all season, very underrated as a team but they have good size up front and very quick linebackers and maybe of the best sure tacklers around in safety turner o brian.GC is a good team but they are 2-4, they have a great coach but it's going to take time as it did for LC. most of the people who bash each other on here are very unknowledgable about the other opponent, and here at LC we know better than that, but when someone is going to talk down about our team after they went 0-11 a season ago, and then to be 6-0 this season, we aren't going to put up with that. Good luck to you musketeers from Greenup, the last time there was a fight. I hope to not see anything like that again, and especially good refereeing this time.

Wow, if only the fans, and parents could play the game! The facts are we can get on here and type all we want about each other but what it all comes down to are those BOYS on that football field.
Whichever team wants the win bad enough will walk away the winners.
Let us remember that some of the boys get on here and read what is being said, and they don't deserve the CRAP being posted by both teams.

I don't think you would be able to keep up with Ashland. Let's not forget you didn't win a game last season at all! Now this miraculous turn around? Come on, I know you must be proud, but lets be honest...LC contending with ASHLAND? What a joke! It wouldn't even be a game! I'll give you credit, you seem to have put together a good team this year, but at any given time that can all crumble in your face and anyone can have an off night. I sure hope that doesn't happen to your "improved" team. That being said....I wish the MUSKETEERS the best of luck come Friday night.

WOW! I can't believe this thread is already 7 pages long! It looks as if there are some pretty loyal fans on both sides of the issue.
I still think Greenup wins this one. I hope both teams stay injury free and that the refs call things fair and square.

I agree Musketeer. After they way we were done last week,I would not want to win that way.I think these questionable refs should be kicked out and not allowed to ref again. It's possible to make a bad call now and then but deliberate cheating is uncalled for.To all of the LC fans and team if the refs get off track,we will be the first to put a stop to it.Cheating kids out of something they have worked their butts off for and have earned is completely unacceptable. Good luck to both teams.

I hate that for you! Yes, he did outplay Cross and I didn't say that Carter was the team...it takes a team to win, but as a single player, playing against Cross, Carter is clearly the best running back. If you think that winning is what it's all about...I'd hate to see you fall on your face Friday!

I don't think Greenup is overrated, maybe be their fans but that just shows how loyal their fans are. They arent even rated at all. LC and GC enough said in the rain district showdown. Let's see what happens.

So what does everyone think is going to happen in this game, not being bias for your team but being honest? Who do you think will have a big game?
10-07-2009, 01:18 PM
Carter will have 1000 yards and 16 TD's
10-07-2009, 01:28 PM
No seriously what's going to happen?
10-07-2009, 01:58 PM
Lawrence County will have around 400 yards rushing spread between Pack, James, West and Bentley. Kiser will have around 60 yards through the air also. I look for Pack to get around 150 yards with 2 TD's. West will have around 100 yards with a TD. Bentley and James will combine for about 150 yards with a TD. I look for Mills or Frashier to have a TD reception. Carter will have around 100-125 yards rushing. The rest of Greenup will prob add around 50 yards to that. The final score will be somewhere around LC 35 - GC 16.

Where is greenup ranked in the area? If anything I'd say area wise they are underrated since adding Carter to the roster. And don't give me that one player don't make a team stuff! Do you really think the Patriots would've won all those superbowls without Brady? Or the Colts would be anything without Peyton Manning? One player can easily make a difference in the outcome of the game! If Carter didn't play against Raceland, the rams would have won! Not saying he's going to win this game on his own. Just stating it does make difference.
10-07-2009, 05:24 PM
I kinda agree that one player can make a difference it depends on who that player is and what position he plays.
