Agreed with everyone else..its to early to tell right now. but in my OWN opinion i think fugate has went to the bottom of the totem pole in the runnings, i may be wrong but its my opinion. breathitt has had so much trouble this season. i know this award is based on 4 years of football. but games with 5 yards carrying...this is'nt looking good right now. i wish him the best of luck though, it would be nice to see a mountain boy playing big time college football

Just wondering if Mr Football has ever been given to a defensive player? It seems as if these threads only apply to offense.

Tevin Mcadden for bryan station has to be mr.football he has the most rushing yards and touchdowns and on top of that he's playin in 6a unlike fugate whose playin in 3a where competetion is alot weaker. Tevin has 1,181 yards rushing and 17 touchdowns in only 5 games.

Tevin is most certainly making a name for himself.

sstack Wrote:I would say Collinsworth is at a disadvantage because he is on a team with quality players and his number of carries will be alot less than the others. He also will not be left in games to "pad" his numbers like some players. It is still too early to put anybody on top at this point.
I would have agreed prior to the Bardo injury but rest assured AC will get a boatload of touches over the remaining games and IMO he will take many to the house and pad those stats. If he blows up the rest of the year with some nasty stats and leads them to the STate Title it will solidify him as Mr. Football IMO.
If he gets the same amount of touches and the Birds fall in the playoffs or state title game then I think it goes to someone else.
If Miles Simpson gets to the Class 6A title game again then I think he is the frontrunner.

I don't think anyone from Bell could be in the running for Mr. Football this year. Bell is a 2 man program. Matt could have been a contender this year however he is another senior placed on the back-burner because of county politics. Change your name Matt and you may get a chance to show your skills again. Last year it wasn't about who was playing best or who was making the things happen on the field, it was all about the seniors (politics). This year the new word is its all about who is making the plays and not about the seniors (politics). I think its a shame to play down a young man talent to make another look good (politics). You boys hold your heads up, you will be needed when you play someone who isn't a cake walk.
