The bobcats have a good line up with Newsom, Martin, Adkins, Newman & Tackett. They have the talent to go far, if the players will just use it.

The Bobcat played Pike Cantral and won also played Knott Co. but lost...back up there tomorrow...

Who's looking the best for the Bobcats as of now?
Have they got a starting lineup yet? Or is Newsome still trying to figure out what works best?

The Bobcats have a shot at being the second best team in the region under valley of course IF Jr. put his best lineup on the floor. With all the experience they have and talent, Jr. just ahd to man the ship, pund the ball inside, and for goodness sakes put his seniors out there like Steven Johnson

Yes Betsy Layne will be good this year, Im gonna say about the same record as last year with a ditrict championship.... But the big thing im stressing here is Nathan Martin, hes an alright player, but 10 games straight last year he failed to score in double figures... So to say he will be top 10 in the region is a discrase... hes no even the best all around player on his team!
09-22-2009, 05:07 PM
nathan can play, hes just slightly inconsistent. He will shoot you in or out of a game lol. Another year of maturity over last year will do the Bobcats a world of good. expect big things from a team with consistent height and a deep bench.

BL has had some big wins over Piarist, Riverside and sub 500 teams. BUT, yet still nothing to show for it:Thumbs:..
Why will BL win more than 7 games? Please Enlighten ME!
Maybe, you all should take notes of how to finally win a county tournament off of your grade school.
Every since SF has become a school. How many Districts and other tournaments has BL won?
You know i'm not bias to SF or BL, however i know an idiot when i see one...
"uhavenoidea"...your name should be i have no idea....
Let's go modern era for a minute...like the era since you have been in highschool...I'm guessing you're a punk player from SF the way you are running your trap...so we'll go 2006 forward...
06...sf wins the all "a"...congrats...(If i remember correctly)...BL...flod co. champions...district runner up...region semi finals...
07...sf?????...BL conference/district runner up...
08...Nothing to show either way...
09...sf???...BL conference co-champions...dist. runner-up...
Well it's a darn good thing they have some pretty good concerts and the first round of the all "a" up at the expo....otherwise you guys from up mcdowell, hi hat, wheel wright etc.....wouldn't get to see the inside of that facility...

Nathan Martin is a ok player but i don't think you can call him the best from this school....
The hype is obviously more about the player he could be rather than the player he is..
The kid hasn't even had a 20 point game yet...

It's funny you say 2006 forward and not 1992 forward

So as far as me changing my name to I have no idea, I'll leave that be, so you can look at it and remind yourself to get your facts straight, before you open yourNEVERWAS mouth.
Actually, South Floyd had won 2 All A's and 2 Districts in my time at SF. Since the start of this decade in 1999-2000 season, SF has a 17-4 record against BL. While I was in HS, we also never lost to AC.
Oh and it's a good darn thing they let other teams see the championship trophies be handed to everyone in the district besides BL since 1992. Well besides the coca cola classic trophy, which SF has also won in this decade. And it's a very good thing the Dome is so close to BLES, so that the High School can actually be in the prescence of players and teams that can actually win a county tournament in nearly 2 decades.

Actually I played on 2 dist. winners and 2 all a winners.
So thats 2 out of the 5 districts and 2 out of the 3 all a's SF has won.
It's actually 11 wins in the past 3 yrs. They still managed to beat BL in 2 of those 3 years.
Your math and observation skills speak for themselves.

Yeah and SF also beat BL the same year on homecoming night @BL.
Once again, your observation and research skills show again.

does he even remember what a basketball is?
besides no one on the bobcat roster can match against the REBS'S chris stumbo, or for that matter dakota hall for SF.:lmao:

It's hard to score double figures when opponents are guarding one player with two players, and when you play team ball. You can't even spell disgrace!

OK hears my opinion on BLHS starting 5, Bryce which is a senior Newman, C. Adkins, N. Martin, and the sleeper in the region D. Tackett this kid is a self disaplined B-baller a fine player that can play, needs too work on his shot alittle but is one of the quickiest kids in region...

The facts don't lie, (I'm a BL grad. ), but, talking about it is one thing, getting it done on the court is another! (Congrats. to SF, they've had a nice run, ) if you want respect from the folks that're on here hating on you , go out and handle you're buisness on the court! Don't make excuses, work, work, and when you think you've worked hard enough, work some more, 1992 wow!!!, Let's put an end to that now !!!!

I disagree if one player can already play why wait for another player to improve d.mald can take D. Tackett's spot anytime.

I really dont think it will matter who starts BL has 10 players that should see a lot of playing time, with the speed they have it should be fun to see the bobcats get up & down the cort.

No dought Dillion is a going to be a big asset to the ball team, I just see Derek being able to run the offense the way Newsome wants, Derek sees the floor very well with little turn overs. Those starting 5 I picked was just my opinion anyway I'm just a big fan and an Alum of BLHS. I'm excited about this group of kids from the SR. class to the freshman class to the feeder schools of BL Elm.....practice hard stay healthy and GOHARD....

Outside looking in. several othe talented players.
yea they have a very deep bench if Jr. will use them, only comment i have on that lineup(which you're probably right, thats what it will be) I'd maybe try the Howell kid because he's a much better outside shooter than Maldanado, and Newman is so inconsistent that maybe Johnson would prove a better rebounding and physically tougher presence.
