Some of their fans aren't any better, one game at Russell one of East Carters fans came into the Russell press box cussing and carrying on and needless to say he was escorted out by the Flatwoods PD.

It must be the way they are taeching them, it happens even last year in youth football when we started winning

Good job Dawgs you all took care of the first district game we now have 3 more to go. Also I would like to welcome East Carter to district 8 and 4A football this is what it's like so keep working hard and never give up. On a another note I feel like as well as LC played I also thought that it was our sloppiest played game. Might have been because of the wet ground but we had way to many balls on the ground tonight and I think we only converted 2 PAT this can't happen agiants a better team. I guess I am being picky but man I wan't to beat Rowan Boyd and Greenup so bad this year . But on the positive side the passing game looked really good the run game as have been all year looked great tonight the play calling was really good also I love to seee them mix it up. Shane had another big long run what can you say but that he's just a beast how many guy's did he just lower his shoulder and run over them tonight player of the game in my book. But you would have to give the D all the credit for the shut out they was never in danger untill late in the game when LC muffed a punt return and gave the ball back to them in the red zone. But then the D really stepped up and when it was said and done they tried a fill goal out side the 20 yes the D moved them back which they had all night. So with all this said congratulations to the Dawgs and staff keep working hard and on the little things enjoy this first district win in over 2 years I think the last one was agiants Boyd in 07. Go back to work Monday and get ready for Next friday . GO DAWGS

I'm sure the field conditions played a part but I think Coach was trying to mix it up as well. Additionally not sure how much he really wanted to show last night.

Next week will show us a bunch about the district.

CatDawg Wrote:Next week will show us a bunch about the district.I agree every one is talking about Rowan and I also think they might be the team to beat for us. But I have seen Boyd play and they have a really good Defence. I think LC has to much O for them but I still think that Boyd could cause some trouble on a given night. I was thinking that GC might be the sleeper but it looks like they are haveing some internal problems I heard their QB just walked away last week. But they do have the Carter kid and he is a game changer so one never knows . But like you said Next week should tell us a lot

At least the district shouldn't be a cake walk. At least two of those three remaining and possibly all three could end up beating LC. At this point I don't see it happening but it could. Just nice to know that with this win we probably have secured at least a 4 seed in the playoffs already. I don't see EC winning a district game.

Lawrence Co 571 East Carter 40
West 6 - 75 yards
Pack 14 - 142 yards 2 TDS
Bentley 8 - 140 yards 2 TDS
Marcum 4 - 31 yards
James 5 - 50 yards 2 TDS
Clay 2 - 27 yards
Kiser was 9-11 for 117 yards
Mills 5 - 52 yards
Frashier 2 - 50 yards
West 2 - 15 yards
We could have ran for 700 yards but coach worked on the passing game a little bit tonight..
Way to start district play.
I called both James' and Pack's 2 touchdowns

Nice win for the Bulldogs, I don't see East Carter competing in our district this year also, I could be wrong, and trust me I've been wrong before.hh:
