HA, that's so funning. Why would L.C. worry about Greenup? Can't wait till you get all those boys back. Jumpers back and forth, what has highschool football come to? Back in the day players wouldn't let this go on, Coach Copley also agrees with this we talked about it at the JV game.

If Greenup comes out on Friday Focused and plays with Heart and Determination they will win this game. We also need to cutdown on penalties. GO Greenup!

Heard GC lost the QB tonight. What kind of person quits a team in the middle of the season? Quit on 50 people who count on you. Oh well, I think the offense will run better with someone who can run anyway. What a terrible thing to do to a team that elected you a captain.
09-23-2009, 09:15 PM
WHAT? A Greenup player QUIT, NO WAY!! Haha just kidding.
Doesn't the backup run like a 4.5 forty anyways? Just gives him more time to get comfortable in the upcoming years. I'm sure it will work out okay.

Backfield will be QB-Waugh, Carter and Lyle RB, Hensley FB, I think this puts our three playmakers on the field at once. Im happy.

Once a baseball player always a baseball player.:flush: I say he will be on the baseball diamond this weekend at GCHS.hh:

Waugh will do an excellent job at QB.

Well I can't beleive it either but Waugh will do a good job, backup qb. Hamilton has a broken thumb, they were working with Crum yesterday in practice, he will step in if Waugh has any trouble, he has varsity experience, plus he's probaly better passer than any qb. we have anyway. One thing is for certain, this may cut out the center to qb. exchange problem reed had, as he fumbled the snap at least 7 times a game, not to worry Musketeer faithful, we will be alright, the team is alright with this, now it's time for other players to step up, good luck boy's.:BigLaugh:

So is it true he actually quit because of Carter? I know I won't get the correct answer. But thought i'd ask and see.

Ram Fan04 Wrote:So is it true he actually quit because of Carter? I know I won't get the correct answer. But thought i'd ask and see.It has nothing to do with Carter, more like Coach Logan, he wants no baseball players playing football, but I beleive this makes us better, Reed never was comfortable at qb., only completed 1 pass, he had 5 interceptions, Waugh has more completions, from his running back position. When Grayson and Kitchen are able to play, plus when Crum get's ready to qb. I think we will be alright. When Hamiltons broken thumb get' s better maybe he will take over at qb.; but that may be next year. Things have a way of working out' we are no stranger to adversity here at GC.:closed:

Gotta hate when coaches from other sports do that. We had that problem when I was in school with basketball and football. Luckily the baseball coach and football coach was ther same person!

Well I say hats off to Terry Waugh, for stepping up and playing a position he has never played his Senior year. This takes guts and shows that he is a TEAM player. We all BELIEVE in you and wish you the best of luck. Go get those hornets boys and have fun on the field friday night. 1st DOWN GREENUP COUNTY.

I will agree Greenup's chances just got a little better, if the coach uses the new QB right; He has a much stronger arm! Play action with Carter , an option now and then, this could be a boost the green needs:Thumbs:

Terry Waugh is a team leader, he will do whatever it takes, if only we can get Crum to step up, it would be nice, take the sting out of those Hornets Friday night and take care of business.

Coalgrove is gonna no what to think. All their scouting and defensive schemes will be irrelevant to an extent.

In my opinion, I feel that Greenup has a good chance at winning this game. They had a bye week, so they will be prepared! The win against Raceland is just what they needed. One thing about Greenup that I noticed this year is that they don't give up! Good Luck Musketeers and Don't give up!!

Mark Maynard(daily independent) picks Coal Grove 21-20 in his weekly predictions so go prove him wrong as well.

Game day, it's been 2 weeks since we seen our boys play, I read threads on southeastern preps, and Colegrove gives no respect, we must be the RodneY Dangerfield high school team, we get no respect, but we like being the underdog, other teams overlook us and this will bite them in the end, just ask Raceland, we snapped their 4 yr. win streak against us, but pryor to that streak, we beat the Rams 7 yrs. in a row. I know the team is prepared and are ready to go, we need to play error free tonight and play together, see you at the game tonight, also stop by the tailgate area and eat with us. Bring your own steak.:please:

I have read some of the things on southeastern ohio preps and all I can say is......Greenup, you need to be focused. We know that you are WINNERS, now show Coal Grove that you are!

It's game time GCHS fans and we need to really step it up for the boys as well. When they hear the fans shouting for them and standing to their feet they in return get pumped up. I have seen this happen twice this year where the fans have made a difference in the game . So get ready to CHEER.:Cheerlead WE BELIEVE in our TEAM.

wow!!!!!!
Quote:gc has sucked in football since jim thorpe played nothing changing now
Quote:kentucky: Tobacco, moonshine, and incest
Quote:i was just getting ready to post about the arrogance of the greenup county fans on that thread! Simply amazing!
Forget about alma maters or favorite teams; this game is about showing those folks across the river where their pathetic excuse of a program matches up over here.
I hope cg gets up by 40 at halftime and then leaves the starters in during the 2nd half so they can put up 40 more just because of the ignorance of these fans.
I hope it's so bad that no one in lloyd or greenup or south shore or anywhere in the greenup county school district will ever think to even look towards ohio in an unworthy manner ever again.
Quote:greenup county hasn't won 3 games in a row since 2003!
Quote:just remember we won't embarass a team to bad if we have to play them again and lets face facts, greenup will be homecoming next year.
Quote:greenup's football program is like coal grove's basketball or baseball program - it takes second (and in greenup's case, probably third) priority to other sports. They aren't a good football team; it's a team made up mostly of basketball and baseball players.
Their backfield as a whole isn't the best cg will see all year, but carter is the most talented rb cg will go against. Whether greenup's line can block well enough for him is the million-dollar question.

Well it is almost game time, if we win this game I think we will gain a little respect from our other competitors, good luck to both teams.
