As much as I'd like for an old LC grad to get the coaching win I have to take Coal Grove in this one.

Greenup County will come out refreshed after a week off, still pumped from beating the Rams. Should have a great lineman return if released from the Dr.Will be a close game but home field advantage under the new lights gives the Musketeers a Win.

We've had two weeks to prepare for this game.Should be a good game.Ihope that lineman will be released also.

I actually will go with Greenup in this one. I hope that the Musketeers take this one and there are no injuries.

So far this season we have been injury free, in the past, during our bye week we are recovering and licking our wounds. Coach Copley has the team in great condition and is bringing this team along a little at a time, I see improvement each week, when these seniors were freshmen, Cole Grove Hornets stung them 44-6 at their place; good luck Muskies, as they win another close one.

Where is all the Greenup County faithful?

Greenup will do good on returns because of Carter and the homegrown running back is pretty decent, he plays hard and with passion; other than that no contest! Greenup has a long way to go to beat a good team. But, I wish them good luck here! they are a local team. I am a RAM FAN TIL THE DAY I DIE! If you don't cheer for local teams playing outside states and outside schools something got to be wrong.

At least we beat the Raceland Rams.:1:

I look for Greenup to win this one but it will have to take care of the turnovers if they want to win.

I think the keys to winning this game are. 1. Finish off drives, way too many red zone oppurtunities wasted, coming out with no points. 2. We completed our first pass from quarterback to receiver, need to throw a little more. 3. The tackling needs more tacklers to the ball, I know they work on this everyday. 4. Special teams playing better, but still can improve. 5. Get physical, play with a chip on your shoulder. Good luck Musketeers, play hard and finish.

Greenup has to come out on the field with a win on their minds. Watch for the little things, as the coach is always telling them. Greenup has the talent to win this game they just have to want it bad enough. I for one believe they can pull this off and have a really good shot at the districts. GO GREENUP

You were beating us from the inside before the season even started:Thumbs:. I think Greenup wins this one in a very close game. Good luck to both teams.

Coal Grove is a good team.
GC must win the turnover battle to win the game.

What is Coal Groves record this year? Who have they played?
09-20-2009, 07:35 PM
Agree 100% on the turnovers they have been killing us this year. Penalty's can win or lose a game. And we have had way to many in all the games we have played this year. It's the little things that the coach keeps reminding the boys you have to watch out for.

Theyre long gone thank god. They hurt more than they helped and it shows now. But this thread is about your game against a slightly better Coal Grove team. So I'll stay out of this one for the remainder of the week. Good luck to both teams.

I will eat crow anyway you want me to if Greenup wins this! I too believe Greenup has maybe two good linemen and one great back with speed and one really good back with passion and tradition of being a greenup kid that wants to win, other than that; a lot of young kids that are in the learning process. Enjoy your Big win over Raceland and get back to the basic's and move on. I remember one year Raceland beat Ashland the first game of the year! That was their only win of that season. Even a hog finds an gain of corn in the woods sometimes, it was a Bad game for the rams and the films show it as that. As a matter of fact the ref. crew at that game has been

The poll is closer than I thought it might be for now. Greenup is use to being the underdog in all the polls. Greenup fans get ready to cheer on the boys and for some really good tailgating Friday night.

Also the tailgating will be awesome, remember everyone to bring a steak so it can be deep fried, it will be muddy this game, with all the rain moving thru this week. Coach will have the team ready to play, we have a chanch at a 3 game winning streak, something that has not been done in the last 4 years. It still is great to be a Musketeer supporter:rockon:

I think GC's backfield will have a huge game this week. Ohio teams never see the "belly", and will have no clue how to stop it.

Greenup 28-21

Greenup had a week off to prepare for this game. I just hope that they can get away from those silly penalties that they've been getting. Coal Grove is a big team, but I think that they won't be able to stop Greenup's speed! Musketeers...come out ready play!!:redboxer:
