Great win for Brossart they was up 42-0 at halftime. JV/Freshman was in during the second half.

Who is the defensive coordinator for Jenkins? 42-0 at the half against Bishop Brossart?

Are you kidding me? 0-20 past 2 years and up on Jenkins 42-0 at the half.
Bishop Brossart looked like the Florida Gators against Jenkins.:yikes::flush:

Who's the defensive genius that gave up 42 points to Bishop Brossart in the first half? That's the million dollar question.:1:

Brossarts coaches have done a great job getting these young men ready to play football.

Where is all the Northern Kentucky posters who told me I was wrong when I told them that Brossart would beat Betsy Layne and Jenkins.
09-13-2009, 12:31 PM
Orangenowblue, they will win at least one more. I told everyone they would win at least 3 and I am still sticking to it. They are a good team.

Brossart could have put more on the board. They started to sub the JV in the 2nd quarter. Jenkins was over matched in every phase of the game.
Way to go Mustangs:ChairHit:
By the way 1st time in school history to get a running clock (had plenty the other way last year:biggrin. 1st time to score a defensive TD also ( did it twice once on a INT and another on a fumble)

Not sure I said it, but I most definitely thunk it. Brossart hadn't proven a think at that point.

The thing about Jenkins is that over the past three years, they have had zeor involvement from a coach, from students, from the feeder system and from administration. When you have former principals who go out on the field and pull players off the field during a game because they were wearing black under armour, you have serious problems. Not to mention about 15-18 players participating.
Here is what is to come, three years of Coach Maggard, rebuilding the feeder system with much involvement, an administration who is fully supporting the program, a state of the art weight room, three years of this movement you will see a positive side from this single a program.

Job well done!!!

First off i want to congratulate Bishop Brossart on an impressive win!
Jenkins and the coaching staff will have to be patient and take every game as experience and keep building upon that. I still believe the future for the Cavs is bright it will just take time.

well ref, tell me why they had 2 good years, then last year they kept the scores respectable at least? Not to discourage the Maggard envy you have, but as a head coach, what has he ever done to make you think so highly of him?

BIG win...at least from a margin!

Firechief, you have no idea what you are talking about. There was no one pulled from the sideline for wearing black under armour. One day your uninformed comments will bite you in the buttocks. Secondly, Mark Johnson & his staff spent countless hours with their program and the last 3 years of his tenure as coach had respectable teams. Last year, David Jones and Brandon Ratliff did a fantastic job with the non-experienced players that they had returning and their team was competitive in every game.
Lastly, when you talk of no support from their feeder program, you are slamming some of the most respected members of the Jenkins community. The parent volunteers and community volunteers that gave up countless hours to try and ensure that the football program survived.
I hope that Larry Maggard and his staff experience tremendous success.

I am soooooo sorry, but I was there the night the child was taking off the field to take the black under armor (undershirt) off. Several people were there. Its not like we made something like this up, I was standing right there when he was told to take it off, and he wasn't asked nicely either. Now, I do think that we had coaches that were trying and the community has always tried to be behind our boys. But now, I think we should support the new coaching staff and especially our boys, I think we will have a great ball team in a year or so. But it will take some time.

You all have got to understand that there hasn't been a winter conditioning, spring practice or any weight lifting consistently. Give these coach time. Be patient. Some of these kids have barely play football. They have to get use to it first. How many players came out this year that never played football? Give these coaches time, and I promise you will see results. All we can do as pillars of the community is be supportive. If you wanna help the team "Be Supportive, and Be Patient".

The cav's would have had a better chance of winning if they would have put the players that they had against south floyd there line against brossart seemed tiny and couldent block or brake threw brossarts line any one know why they changed it.

did you watch the same game I did? Maybe the sun was in your eyes to much but Brossart's line both offensive and defense had their way with Jenkins. Jenkins didn't get near the Brossart QB until 4th quarter when the JV and younger kids were all in. Defensively Brossart was in jenkins backfield the whole eveing.
