Ashland has done a good job of holding down some high octane offenses this season. They are allowing 13.6 points per game. The most points scored on them this season has been 27 by Ironton following by 21 by Russell. They haven't allowed more than 14 points in any other games. They held one of Ohio's top rated running backs, Jared Pendleton, to 42 yards. They also held Kentucky's leading rusher, Ron Blume, to 109 yards.

It's kind of strange, after seeing this thread, I got to thinking.
Are there any really strong defensive teams in Class A???
Doesn't seem like it.

After checking stats Bardstown is pretty strong in Class A but that's about it as far as really strong defensive teams.

About half their schedule is really weak, but the other half is pretty decent. At any rate, pitching 6 shutouts and only giving up the minimum amount of yardage they have given up is impressive.
