1. Breathitt County
2. Bell County
3. Johnson Central
4. Belfry
5. Whitley County
6. Corbin
7. Pulaski County
8. Letcher Central
9. Prestonsburg
10. Knox Central

They have Breathitt Co #1 and Bell Co #2. IMO until a mountain team beats Bell and coming off a State Championship Bell Co should be preseason #1 on Mountain Top 10. Bell Co returns 3/4 of there team back and the favorites to win Class 4A State Championship again this year. No one has beaten Bell Co since 2006 against Rockcastle Co. :please:

Who cares! It's a preseason poll for goodness sakes. It's there opinion and has no reflection on how the 09 season will go. I believe the final pole when it's all decided is the only one that matters.

You make a very good case, but let me ask you this. Does Bell County have a an all-state division 1 player committed to play in the SEC? Bell County lost a lot of key players like Zachery & Greer. Those guys are very tough to replace. Breathitt County does return 3/4 of their team as well, if not more. But preseason rankings are useless IMO until the season starts and the players begin to do all the talking. Only true point in a preseason ranking is to start conversation and get people amped about the upcoming season.

I agree on some. I just think its a slap in the face to Bell County winning a State Championship and hasnt been beaten by a Mountain since Oct 2006. I also think Bell Co has a Div 1 player in Matt Raines who runs a 4.45 40 time and broke Bell Co physical fitness test in July who had recently been set by Brent Slusher who went to Auburn. Bell Co was the only team last year to win State from the Mountains and they do this to them.
BUT..... one player doesnt make a team. TEAMWORK makes a team and thats one thing Bell Co has always had. Thats why there names are not on the back on there jerseys. Dudley says its a team work not individual player.

:yikes:Thats not kool at all, wymt is crazy 4 that... Hum?? We should have been #1 but thats kool we can deal with it!!! Lets see what happens after week 3....:flame:
08-19-2009, 10:11 PM
I agree. We will see who is there at the end.:devilflam
08-19-2009, 10:14 PM
LOL. Do we need a congressional investigation on WYMT because Bell County is rated 2 instead of 1
08-19-2009, 10:25 PM
No need to get your panties in a wad there BellCoBobcats09. Its just a preseason poll. Heck I could come up with a preseason poll with Powell county at number 1 and not even rank Bell or Breathitt. Its not a big deal.

:argue: I want a investigation on WYMT for this act:lmao: It does make u wonder how a team goes 15-0 and State Champs!!! But hey, we cant be worried about #2, I like that spot But I say it wont be long Bell will be right back on top, then we can see everyone else cry... Remember after week 3....

I agree! WYMT never gives Bell County the Credit they deserve, and this one proves it! I'm sure they'll get plenty emails over that crap!

No and we don't need no orange on this thread either.

Why? Sending emails complaining over a preseason poll that means absolutely nothing...talk about people having nothing better to do.

It's a big deal to Bell county fans! Sorry, but Bell county always gets done this way by wymt and this one was just the straw that broke the camel, or should I say "bobcats" back.
08-19-2009, 10:43 PM
I agree with ya,, it's not a big deal!!!

Why would you want to get on here and start downing people for maybe sending an email? If somebody wants to send an email, what's wrong with that? It may not mean anything to you but it may to somebody else. Sounds like you know all about "people having nothing better to do"
08-19-2009, 10:48 PM
no need to worry about that. I saw a pre season poll in Tn. last week and it had Alcoa ranked 15th overall, but they had already beaten 3 of the teams ranked above them. That is media hype!! TV, radio and news media do those things to sell papers, let's do our talking on the field. I have always been told that you have to earn respect and no one gives it to you. Two great teams will play friday night and what they both have done in the past means very little. This is 2009 and it is time to get the party started. irateSho :Cheerlead :redboxer:

Bell co won a state championship last year, not this year, all I read is how other teams don't stand a chance. You guys got your hands full with acola. Can't wait till the jchs game.

It was the top Mountain teams, not top prospect players.

We, Bell County, Can't wait either. Mountain News didn't have much good to say about JCHS tonight for sure. Sounds like you all will have your hands full with the BOBCATS!!!

 Look, we all know that Alcoa is good and has talent no doubt, and I as a huge fan might see a (L) for the BobCats come friday, But after this game and untill week 3 Hold on cause the Bobcats r gonna be hard to stop and we all know that!!!! When Sep 4th & 5th rolls around then we all can talk about the Cats... :redboxer:

Bell Co's only loss this year should be only from a OUT OF STATE SCHOOL!! 14-1 and another State Championship in 2009. Dudley should tell WYMT to stay home and not come to Bowling Green!

The diffrence is you guys think respect should be given to bell for previous years, guess what? The past is the past, this is the NOW. Jchs has had to earn what little respect we get. Life is not waiting for the storm to end! It's about learning how to dance in the rain. Bell county is a great program be humble and let the play show it.

I agree what a joke!!!! Those guys were praised all year in 2008 for their coverage and now they don't give Bell any love. C'mon. Brian, Jeff, Derek...you guys are a joke!:lmao: Last year WYMT picked Bell County #1 and got crap from many others. Now it's the other way around. You guys are never right.
Just because Bell County lost 13 seniors, their starting QB who passed for more than 1500 yards, starting RBs totalling more than 2500 yards, two receivers who had 600 yards, and not to mention a great kicker.
Defense looks very good. Bell County never gets done wrong. :please:

I heard you have some connections to WYMT. Why don't you use those to make sure this grave injustice goes away?
I'm sure Keith Casebolt would be brought to blows if he knew such mistakes in judgement had been made!

Bell County is going to be a very good team!! "Wondering" why people get so worked up when it's just a pre-season poll. If you guys could only see who the coaches voted for, you would be surprised. That is confidential. Go Cats beat Alcoa!
