What are some of your schools long standing traditions? Highlands fans can you tell me what traditions are still being carried on. Do they still all shave their heads, do they still have to ride bikes and no cars during double sessions, still wear ties on game days, still carry seniors up the hill from death valley? What new traditions have been started(like the goofy running around the goal post).

Speaking of HHS tradions, on a serious note, how is the gentleman doing now after the canon incident? Has all progressed well?

Thanks for asking. Steve is doing very, very well. He's handling the situation the way people who know him thought he would. Not holding him back at all.
As for the traditions question, I think the mandatory burr hair cuts and bike riding during the summer stopped when Duffy took over from Eicher. Some thought that when Mueller became the head coach he would reinstate those traditions since he had played under Murphy but he didn't.
A lot but not all of the kids on this year's team have voluntarily got the burr haircuts, but the only one riding a bike, that I know of, is Coach Mueller. He rides it to practice/school just about every day of the year. He also regularly participates in conditioning drills with the players. Not bad for a 55 or 56 year old.
