Tarvaris Jackson of Minnesota Vikings leaves field with reported MCL injury
#1
MANKATO, Minn. -- Minnesota Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson suffered a sprained MCL after getting tangled with a teammate during a Saturday morning scrimmage, according to a report in the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Jackson was injured when defensive lineman Letroy Guion fell at his feet and rolled over his leg during an 11-on-11 drill. Jackson folded to the field in pain as trainers rushed to check on him. After a few minutes, he was able to get up and walk off under his own power

Hmm, do you think the Vikings have put in a call to Brett Favre?????
#3
No but I think Vick will be there before long.

That does make sense

The wildcat formation with Vick, Percy, and AP would be sick.

In thoery yes, IMO, there is no way in the world to expect Vick to be the Vick of old. You don't just step away from the game for two years and come back at the same level that you left. The Vick of old with these guys in the Wildcat would be incredible.

I think any real NFL fan would love to see Vick come back and surprise everyone and be the Vick of old.

Well, it would be a surprise, because it has never been done before. Like I said, people just don't understand that these guys got to this level because of the Hours and Hours of repetition and work. He lost that repetition for two years. It's wishful thinking to believe that Vick will be an impact.

I think i'm going to be sick. At least through football season. What if they get bret favre and michael vick????
The only thing that would make that any worse is if chuck norris signed with them.

If they get all of this, my prediction is that Elvis and Michael Jackson sing a duet National Anthem at the Vikings first home game....

These are the present quarterbacks on the Vikings roster:

Tarvaris Jackson - Entering his 4th season. To my understanding, he's the projected starter. According to this injury, he might not be. He improved to a 9:2 touchdown:interception ratio last year, but I believe Coach Childress complained that Tarvaris wasn't making enough "risky" moves like he wanted Tarvaris to do (so he put him on the bench).
Average QB ranking for last year: 95.4

Sage Rosenfels - Entering his 9th season. Has a 6:10 touchdown:interception ratio, but he made up with his high percentage throws. (His worst game last year (Played for Houston Texans) was against a good Baltimore Ravens defense, which is debatable since he threw for 294 yards)
Average QB rating for last year: 79.5

John David Booty - Entering his 2nd season. Never played in a regular season or post season game.
Average QB rating for last year: (Preseason) 36.9

If I had a choice (even with Michael Vick as an option), I would pick Sage Rosenfels. If you look at Tarvaris Jackson, he had a good rating for last year mostly because he faced easy defenses (such as Arizona Cardinals and Detroit Lions). Sage Rosenfels had to face a good Baltimore Ravens and a good Minnesota Vikings defense (And he had a 103.2 QB rating at the Minnesota Vikings stadium!).

Also, Tarvaris Jackson now has a nagging knee injury. I would at least give him some rest. And for those who think the Vikings are going to be worse, I personally think they're the exact same seeing that Sage Rosenfels is their quarterback (and also the quarterback has a much lesser role for the Minnesota Vikings anyway since they have Adrian Peterson).

I am not fond of Jackson. I hope he is OK. If Vick ever came to the Vike's then i am going to be a Packers fan!!! Jackson IMO is just as good a canidate for the wildcat as Vick.

Why Hilbily? Just curious, but do you expect that Vick will do what no one else in the game has ever done, and come back to be anything close to what they were after being away from the game 2 1/2 years? I'm not challenging, just curious was to what you think he really can be capable of?

I feel that prison can really do alot to the man's confidence for one. He has to carry that chip on his shoulder wherever he goes. The team if he makes one likely will not have any respect for him as a leader. All that down time is obviously going to affect him physically. Alot on a body can go down in the amount of time he was put away. He was out long enough to quit thinking strategy minded and he has missed alot of knowledge. He missed all these things during what i consider a crucial time in his career. He may make a team yes. He may be affective yes. But he will never regain his status in leadership and time lost at the ultimate level of competition. Second string and affective are the most we can expect. I liked watching him when he was on his game and that was rare towards the end. He could catch fire and change games at times. However look how Atlanta's record improved after his exit.

Is this the Orange model or the Black and White striped?????:lmao:

You get a free license plate for every pair bought.......

Orange could be used for hunting after your release if you are aloud to have a gun and if the NFL doesn't go the way you plan you can always use the stripes to ref.lol

I'm not sure if you realized this or not, but Michael Vick isn't allowed to play until it's the 6th week, or around that time. Tarvaris Jackson should be healed by then.

Good point! Thats alot of time to consider not filling the QB spot. If Vick can't be affective until week six why consider him. I never thought the Vikes would do it antway. How is Buffalo for a fit??
