well i am in western ky now but i got a phone call from someone who was there and heard the coaches yelling, and that they was run to death, and said tomorrow starts the real work outs, lol
#3
Not too bad... around 70 give or take a few... some are gone on vacation with parents. Coaches are going full throttle and of course, the boys are too!! WIDE open!! LOL.... This morning's practice was about 2 and a half hours long and they worked the entire time with the exception of water breaks.

You better watch... you may be under a "funnel cake" tent somewhere instead of the pressbox where it's nice and warm in December!!! LOL....

Not sure. My son has moved positions but other than that, I can't say that I've witnessed anything different. I don't stay around too much during practice but thought I'd get some shots to put on here of the field.

Gosh, I'm not real sure about that. Maybe bucslover or EKU can answer that one? I'll look and ask around though and see what I can find out!

The potato soup cook might be persuaded to get him some... Little dirt cake too...

I don't know if anyone knows that. The stadium capacity that KHSAA has listed is 3500, so based on that I would venture to say the home stands would be around 2500.

Thanks EKU...

I know if all that were counted down the farside, near the concession, locker room side, and all along the underside of the bleachers I would dare to bet around 5,000!!!

haha yeah i know i noticed that lol should have got some of them walking through the fog onto the field that would have been BA lol...No but what I heard was Coach Haywood spent some of his break with a few college teams adopting some new sets which would make the Belfry O no so traditional but its just hear say was just wondering if someone could clarify...either way we will find out in a matter of weeks

Thanks for the field photos PHS1986! Now get out there and snap a bunch of photos of the boys practicing.

Please.

Really exciting about the bulked up schedule. Gonna make for great games for the fans.
#27
Just throwing it out there... I have heard some scuttlebutt that T. Varney may take snaps and run some sort of spread/short shotgun style formations. Run heavy of course, ala W.V.U. I assume? Who knows. Hard to see Coach break up with his long time love (wishbone)

I just hope the lineman are making progress and have enough size/strength to hold their own against good competition. They really are the key.
#28
I haven't seen Belfry practice this is pure speculation, but I don't expect Belfry to line up in the traditional wishbone plenty of speed lacking the traditional power. I believe that we will see a different wrinkle this year to the offense. Again I am purely speculating
