64TH District next year.
George Bellamy has been named Fairvew girls coach.
Nice get for the Lady Eagles. Class act with a lot of basketball knowledge. Has done well wherever he has coached.
If Coach Bellamy needs some players just hire me. I have recruited many kids and I can spot talent as far down as the first grade.
You guys can make fun of Dale all you want but I know that he really cares about these girls.
With George Bellamy being named Fairvew girls coach I will move them ahead Rose Hill to place 3rd. Fairview had many kids that did not want to play for the previous coach. Good luck to Coach Bellamy.

Can you give the names of the girls who will play for Fairview now that didn't play last year?
I will PM you.
Slum Lord Wrote:Yes we did! Ashland goes undeafted in the Aries League and will for sure repeat as District champs this upcoming year. Fairview and Rose Hill looked about the same as last year, dont know about Boyd. Good luck to all the girls!

Did Ashland go to a team camp in Louisville? How did they do there?

Regardless of what camps we attend, we will be more than ready to defend our 64th title.
Big Whoop. The 64th is probably the weakest district anyhow. Ashland is expected to steamroll the other teams.

Big Whoop? Just ask Rose Hill, Boyd Co, and Fairview and see, yes it is a big deal to win a district title. Just because the 64th is weak again this year doesn't mean winning the district is a lessor of a complishment. I for one glad to see these girls get the opprotunity to play for championships. It doesn't matter if it is a district, regional or state.
You're right. A win is a win. Doesn't matter who it's against. I for one love the thrill of playing for championships against teams who are as good as my own. Makes it all the more sweet when we win.
This may be Ashland's year to win the whole 16th. How many seniors do they have?

Seven I think.

Does this mean Ashland didn't do well? Sorry I hit a sore spot.

No apology necessary, everything is well in kitten nation.

The only sore spot is the back side of your royal team. Mugshot give it a break and quit trying to stir the pot.

Why is it "stirring the pot" to ask how Ashland did this summer?
We did really well this summer. Winning the District and the Region should be no problem. How did your team fair?
My team did well also. I am not ashamed to discuss any of their games this summer.
The kittens went undefeted in the Raceland Aries League, (with the varsity starters split up) They participated in Uof L camp and did well. The 16 th region preseason front runner for player of the year Katelyn Connor was named MVP at UK's position camp. I hope this answers the burning question of how Ashland did this summer and you p[eople can move on. .

Who is your team?
How well did they do?

Rose Hill. They did well also. Young players played a lot and got a lot of experience. At times they looked very good.

The only kid I thought look good was the Day kid. It's going to be another long season for them IMO.
Thought Ashland played well this summer especially since they had the team split up. They will be pretty tough to beat when they are all back together.
Rose Hill was very young but played hard. Kayla Day needs some help for them to have success.
Fairview was very young but with their new coach and some players returning I believe they will be ok.
Never seen Boyd County but I am sure they will be ok.

My picks are Ashland, Boyd, Fairvew, Rose Hill.
Ashland will be hard to beat this year.
Boyd always plays hard defense and is well coached.
Fairview has a winner with their new hire in Coach Bellamy.
Rose Hill always seems to be very young.

You should have watched more of their games. Kayla is a great player. She could be the best player in the region at some point. Friley and Mays are both seniors and play very tough. Martin can shoot the ball well. The bench is very young, but has experience. If RH cuts down on some of the mental errors they made last year, common for a young team, they will be competitive.

Ashland is the team to beat, not only in the district, but the region. But from what I was told from folks in Louisville, they can be beat. A lot can happen during a season, and we are still just in July. I wouldn't claim a champoinship just yet. Good luck.
Ashland had a really good summer and with the way Dietrich has come on and the rest of the team's progression, they could be hard to beat. If Connor keeps improving, she could be a major force. The region is more wide open than in recent years. In the 64th- Rose Hill will be better than people think, Boyd Co., as everyone knows, will always be pesky and the veteran Bellamy will have Fairview ready to battle in the Class A.

I seen plenty of their games, Friley is a tough player, Rose Hill just doesn't have enough offense. I can see both Kayla Day and Friley both again being there top scores again. The very thing that hurt them last year is going to hurt them again this year, ball handling, defense and scoring help other than Day and Friely. I don't know if all there girls were playing summer ball but the bench at times looked very very thin. They will not be competitive

Sure we can be beat by better teams, Louisville was a tough couple of days. What team camp did you go to and how did you do? When the smoke clears and the dust settles the Kittens will be in Bowling Green.
