Gas down to $2.28 in Lexington
#1
I was amazed to drive around today and see that gas had gone down to $2.28

That's kind of sad, but at the same time I'm happy that it's lower than it was and hope it keeps going down.
#2
makes me so happy that i filled up yesterday when it was still 2.50....
#3
Congrats.

I bought gas for 2.89 today and then drove about 10 minutes to see it at 2.67 then a little further south down to 2.63 then 2.59 in Paintsville. Within 35 miles had a 30 cent difference.

CD sounds like u have my luck

That cloud just keeps following me. On the market today it closed at 1.62 so its came down a lot so far. This is for the November shipments so come mid November we may get down around 2.00 or so. Oil is projected to drop to between 35 and 50 a barrell some time in the next 18 months. If thats the case it might get down under a dollar again. But don't bet on it.
#6
I paid 2.59 for gas a couple days ago...
#7
I'd LOVE to see it down to at least low $2.00...
#8
Yeh lets keep wishing
#9
Yea really the lowest I've seen it up here is $2.70 something.,,,

The government has us to the point to where we see gas at 2.30 per gallon that we believe we are getting a great deal....Hopefully it will continue to go down and get back under 2.00 a gallon, which even at that I would have thought was extremely high 3 years ago but now I feel like it would be great.
#11
YEah....I didn't fill up when I got back to Richmond (VA)..hoping that it would be down even more next weekend with I leave for Lexington!
#12
Maybe we need a pipeline to Pikeville with the cheap stuff.....it's still @ $2.64 here.
#13
Gas needs to get under $2.00 for people to have some extra money. Our economy in eastern KY is suffering because hardly anyone has any extra money.

Gas was around 2.53 in morehead..hope it gets down to what it is in lexington soon...I wonder if the new hurricane will cause prices to rise again...
#16
Wilma isn't expected to hurt production at this time. When the track was more into the gulf the prices spiked for a day but when it changed they dropped. Right now oil and gas on the market have dropped to the lowest levels in months.

I paid 259 in paintsville drove to pburg and it was 269 and in louisa it was 269.....I dont understand why paintsville is cheaper?
#18
Heck some places in Louisa as late as yesterday was 2.89. Just north of town it was still 2.89 this morning.
#19
I saw it 2.69 beside mcdonalds
#20
Yes that's where the sold the 850,000 lottery ticket the other night.
#21
I'm hoping that gas prices go back down and stay down...I don't get a new car until March or April so I won't be driving until then. BTW I have pictures of my car after the wreck if anyone is interested in seeing them just let me know and I'll scan them and put them up.
#22

#23
