Elisha Justice>Dakota Euton
Jeremiah Johnson>Dakota Euton,Tate Cox,Josh Whitaker.
JJ should definately be on the list. He was all-state last year

Top 10 Seniors-to-be IMO:
1. Ricardo Johnson - Holmes
2. Ge-lawn Guyn - Scott Co.
3. Elijah Pittman - Holmes
4. Josh Sewell - Trinity
5. Elisha Justice - Shelby Valley
6. Chad Jackson - Scott Co.
7. Donovan Gibbs - Iroquois
8. Jemimah Johnson - Holmes
9. Thomas Jackson - Jeffersontown
10. Dakotah Euton - Scott Co.
I really like Aaron Watts & Delquan Thomas -- both worthy of a top 10 spot.

I really like your list. I'd probably switch Chad Jackson to #5 and Justice to #6, but other than that it looks pretty solid.

Chad Jackson averages close to a double double while also being a TRUE point guard. The kid already has offers from both Xavier and West Virginia. There's nothing wrong with me saying he's ahead of Justice...a lot of scouts think the same thing.
Get over it dude...there are better players than Elisha. I don't see why all of the SV faithful have to get defensive when someone says so.

I think some Holmes fans need to remove their head out of their behind also as 2 of the big three are rated below Elisha Justice on ESPN.

I have Pittman as the best player, followed closely by Ricardo.

Chad Jackson is a really fine player. Not trying to make anyone mad if he is not better he is at least even with Justice.

You know all the credibility you just had? it just went out the window. If Rivals or Scout rates them higher then say it but if its ESPN, don't. they can't rank for nothing. They had John Wall #6, and Eric Bledsoe wasn't even top 100.

He forces a lot of shots, but he's a pretty good ball player for East Kentucky.

You do realize ESPN's joke of a ranking is the only one that has Justice rated that high...right? And that their evaluation came from seeing Justice play TWO games...same as the other Kentucky boys they have listed with evaluations, such as the Holmes boys, and pretty much every other star player from the teams that participated in the state tournament this year.
Justice doesn't even have a profile on Scout or Rivals...why? Because he simply isn't as big of a prospect as you guys make him out to be.
Let it go...SV fans are the only ones talking and hyping the kid up. (Rightfully so, as he's a great high school player)
There is more than just Holmes fans talking the Johnson Brothers and Pittman up:
Holmes has three players on their roster getting looks from D-1 schools: Ricardo Johnson, Elijah Pittman, and Jeremiah Johnson. The competition at the camp may not have been up to Holmesâ fairly high standards, but there were still some opportunities to see their athletes show some of their skills.
Through the high school regular season, I am sure that Calipari will try to get a closer look at some of the in-state talent and these three should be high on his list. Holmesâ team also looked to be preparing themselves for a reappearance at the state tournament in 2010. They are a very well coached and highly talented bunch.

Covington Holmes captured the Kentucky state title in March and now the team's two stars have been tabbed as the best players in the state by Rick Bolus' High Potential Recruiting Service.
Senior-to-be Ricardo Johnson (photo), the Sweet 16 MVP, was ranked No. 1 followed by senior-to-be teammate Elijah Pittman.
The Holmes duo is followed by Scott County senior-to-be prospects Chad Jackson and Ge-lawn Guyn, Warren Central junior-to-be George Fant and Iroquois senior-to-be Donovan Gibbs.

After taking a composite look at high school basketball production and success, AAU performances last summer, honors and awards and to a lesser degree âpotentialâ at the next level, MaxPreps has compiled its Pre-Summer Class of 2010 100 to Watch:
Ricardo Johnson 6'5/G Covington, KY
Elijah Pittman 6'7/F Covington, KY
http://www.maxpreps.com/news/article.asp...1cc494dda6
Ricardo Johnson is one of the hottest prospects in the state. The 6-foot-4, 185 pound senior-to-be averaged 10.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game this past season. A number of Division I schools are recruiting him. Bradley University has already offered a scholarship. He could be the favorite to win the 2010 Mr. Basketball award.

Just because they have Justice listed as the 9th best player in the state doesn't mean anything. Believe it or not, the guys ahead of him are actually pretty darn good and can play some ball too. Let it go...

No offense, and I try to stay out of these conversations, but why does it not mean anything that they have him ranked 9th, but it means so much that others have the Holmes players ranked as the top players in the state.
It means a lot to him I'm sure, along with many fans of Shelby Valley, and fans of East Kentucky Basketball in general.
I know what you're trying to get across with most of your statements, but do not say it doesn't mean anything. If it didn't, then you obviously wouldn't have went so far out of your way to refute it.
Just give the kid props and move on. You are NOT going to change anybody's mind about Justice, and nobody is going to change your mind about him. Either way, he is getting exposure, and will get much more over the next year.
Personally, I believe into most of the Justice hype as I think he is one of the best true point guards in the state. Yeah, Holmes as a lot of great players, we get it. Just don't understand why you have to continually rain some of these fans' parades when something good is said about one of their players.

Sources tell me Pittman is guaranteed to go to JUCO next year. That doesn't make him a very good looking prospect to me. Most top prospects atleast have hope of becoming eligible before they sign and enroll in a D1 school.

You misunderstood what I said then. My point was, just because someone has Justice ranked behind those guys, doesn't mean he isn't still a very good player. I wasn't trying to belittle him at all. You guys really need to stop being so defensive and sensitive about the kid. No where in my posts have I ever said that he isn't a very good player.
PC_You_Know Wrote:kywildcat01 works for a recruiting website, he knows all rankings and who belongs where.
I've never proclaimed to know it all. I don't let my bias get in the way of how things are actually seen though. I'm not the only one who hypes up the Holmes trio...whereas the SV fans seem to be the only ones on here hyping him up. AGAIN, he is a very good player so they have every right to. I just don't think he is the best player in the state like some on here think and obviously I'm not the only one who thinks that or recruiting sites, college coaches, and scouts would be giving him the same attention as the ones that I repeatedly keep mentioning. I've said all along that Elisha will play D1 ball but at a lower level. There's nothing wrong with saying that. Heck, a lot of kids would kill to play at that level.
Maybe you guys should quit being so sensitive about the subject.

Not a guarantee but a definite possibility. As far as your last sentence, see John Wall, Eric Bledsoe, and Brandon Jennings...they were in the same boat as Pittman their junior years as well...does that mean they aren't top prospects too?? Pittman's grades are fine...it's his test score that he needs to improve.

That poster is also another EKY guy and when he said "Easily Justice, IMO" another poster that's "in the know" asked had he seen all of the top pg's around the state. Also the poster you speak of is hardly "in the know" when it comes to recruiting. He gets a lot of his information from other sites.

The consensus vote in that thread was Chad Jackson and Ryan Fucci...with Justice being in the 2-4 range. Out of the 3 pages in that thread, I saw only 3 posters who stated they thought Justice was the best pg in the state. To his credit though, Justice was mentioned in everyone's list as being one of the top pg's in the state...and he should be as he's very good.
