weak
I understand the NBA wants to protect the officials...
but I think the officials would gain more credibility if they would address the media after games and actually talk about what happens instead of letting the NBA release statements about what they think should have happened

I'm not a Lakers fan but if the refs don't make good calls, I see no problem with a coach or player saying so, this fine is nothing it happens all the time, I bet the next game will be called better!!!!!!!!!

he got the all time titles now i bet he could care less

25,000 is like chump change or Phil. I'm sure he didnt care. And plus it made therefs pay closer attention and make better calls in game 5.

well the refs was calling it crappy that game especially early but dont worry they will make it up in the end for kobe. he can throw elbows and everything and nothing is done but if you hand check him thats a no no. thats why the NBA sucks they're not all equal to calls.

WRONG!
-Lakers had 117 total fouls called on them in the finals.
-Magic had 113 total fouls called on them in the finals.
Game 5 - LAL 20 - ORL 23
Game 4 - LAL 24 - ORL 25
Game 3 - LAL 25 - ORL 21
Game 2 - LAL 28 - ORL 21
Game 1 - LAL 20 - ORL 23
TOTAL - LAL 117 - ORL 113

I agree Kobe did get away with an elbow, but I don't think that one call would have made a difference.
Kobe is a smart basketball player and made his defenders fall for his pump fakes.
Thats no ones fault except for the Magic defenders.

Kobe did great this series....dont get me wrong.but yeah that one call could have made a difference...the magic would gained momentum and possibly won the game and won the series...who knows Kobe may picked another one up and had to sit out a game...so yeah it could made a difference

No one gets more calls in this league than Kobe Bryant.

Okay I was thinking the Lakers where up by 5 or something so it could have made a difference, but it wasn't called. The best players in the league always get the calls. LeBron gets 'em, Kobe get 'em, and Dwight Howard gets 'em.
BTW, what do you mean Kobe would have picked up another one? If you meant a technical foul then no, he only had 4 or 5 in the playoffs. It takes 7 technicals to get suspended a game. If you meant fouls in general then he only had 2 in the game.

Can you prove that?

In order to win an argument you've got to have more proof than opinion, correct?

Actually I take that back, there is a way to find out who draws the most fouls.
Kobe Bryant attempted 564 free throws this past season.
LeBron James attempted 762 free throws this past season. He also made nearly 30 more free throws than Kobe attempted.
Anything else?

Good stats.
Question though, would LeBron have gotten away with that blatant elbow the other night?
That's just one example.
I guess I notice how the officials favor a player a little more once I absolutely despise them.

I don't know, I really don't.
LeBron did get a foul called on Dwight Howard when it was cleanly blocked on a 3-point attempt.
But like I said earlier, the better players in the league are going to get the calls.

Facts are facts my friend.
LeBron shot nearly 200 or more free throws more than Kobe. So that driving the lane more than Kobe is a little b/s don't you think?
