For Roe vs. Wade AND a Christian?

jetpilot Wrote:As usual your post is bass-ackwards.

It's Christian first, American second. And you are quick to worry about protesters that break the law and conveniently forget that Dr. Tiller was breaking the law on a daily basis, performing late-term abortions for no reason other than the "convenience" of the mother.

Why do you liberals worry so much about the rights of terrorists at Gitmo and the likes of 9th-month-abortion Tiller and don't care at all about the rights of a 9 month-old fetus (baby)???? It really is sickening.

I personally think it's American first.

I care about everybody's rights including the babies

This Country was founded on Christian principles, was it not?

Not a single word of thruth here that applies to me.

But to answer your question. I care about everyone's rights. If you want to live in a religious theocracy move to Lebanon. There are plenty of Christians there and I think you'd fit in nicely.

There are plenty of Christians here. We're a Christian nation and I fit in here very nicely, as do all Christians and all other religions as well.
People who think we just popped into being aren't given a lot of credit here...

Devils Win Wrote:Given that America is not a Religious Theocracy I would think that would require all patriotic citizens to me Americans First and Christian Second.

In that theory I propose that since Roe vs. Wade is the law of the land we must accept the High Court Ruling and stop the violence against Patients and Physicians of abortion clinics.

Everyone has the right to peaceful protest but not many of the clinic protesters are playing inside the rules. Most of them walk the fine line and every now and again one steps over the line.

I also suggest that the anger fostered by these protests is the vehicle that convinces these vigilantes that it is ok to lay in wait and kill with a snipers bullet. Which is more cowardly than any act performed by any physician.

Nothing could be more cowardly than driving an instrument into a defenseless and innocent child's skull!!!!!!!!

I respectfully disagree.

You cant have it both ways. If you are against Abortion you have to be against the murdering of DR Tiller. If not you're just a hypocrite.

I am against his murder. They are people that go crazy for what they believe in. His muder was wrong. But abortion is still murder. Or you can see his murder as an eye for an eye.

Who said they were for the murdering of Dr. Tiller? Wow.

No one dip- S#!^.

I was simply making a statement.

The medically induced termination of a pregnancy is not murder unless one contorts the legal definition. The act AND the corresponding mental state... actus reus AND mens rea

Sherman,

This is not the old testament days we are living in. Its America and we have a criminal justice system. So there is no need for any "eye for an eye" talk.

All that does is foster the idea that the killing of DR Tiller is an acceptable consequence for his actions.

One doesn't have to come out and say he supports these Dr. murders to perpetuate the idea that vigilante justice is acceptable.

The acceptance of denying ones rights is how we got the murder of Dr Martin Luther King Jr. Dinner tables across the country chatted about, " someone's gonna kill that Dr. King. Then, it happened. Because James Earl Ray thought it was an acceptable act given the social climate of the time.

Think about your words before you speak and realize that they could have far reaching consequences that were unforeseen.

As for you Jetpilot, why do you continue to say that Dr. Tiller was committing illegal abortions?

Illegal according to what book of laws?

A statement that doesn't apply here. Typical. BTW, name-calling reduces further what little credibility you have.

So I understand you rightly: a fifteen year old pregnant, anxiety ridden and suicidal girl and an egg fertilized for twenty-six days: exactly the same status and protections under the law?

Anyone who has done 1.2 minutes of research knows Dr. Tiller was performing late-term abortions for any (which means no) reason.

I didn't say that was my opinion. I was just saying thats how some people see it. So before you go off, figure out what your talking about.

From Dr. Tiller's clinic web site: "Kansas law allows for post viability abortion procedures when continuing the pregnancy is detrimental to the pregnant woman's health. Each person's circumstances are reviewed on a case-by-case basis." If Dr. Tiller was a blatant, militant, brazen violator of Kansas law, explain his non-jail status at the time of his death.

They should recieve the same rights. I and you are two completley different people. But, we have the same exact rights.

So why wasn't he prosecuted?

We both exist independently outside the womb... in this we are same.

Yes we do. But, what determines when we recieve rights. Who should determine that?

It's already been explained to you that all law-breakers are not in jail.
Again, if you take a couple minutes to dig a little deeper than Dr. Tiller's web site (LOL) it's obvious to everyone except you and DW that Dr. Tiller performed late-term abortions for any (no) reason. I am done with you. You and DW are either mentally incapable or too lazy to do the least amount of research, not to mention you only hear what you want to hear.:flush:
