Lawrence County played better than a lot expected. LC really shot themselves in the foot in this one tonight. Penalty's at the wrong time, bad snaps, a fake punt on their own ten yard line that failed to set up a easy score and had 1st and goal from the five on the first possession of the second half but failed to score. And at the end of the game got intercepted at the three yard line. You give LC that one score take the one score off the board for APB and it could have been more like 26 to 20 or 22 and LC with the ball at the end. APB has a good team but I believe JC will win next week and take the district. Good luck to the cats next week and in the playoffs. LC needs to get the little mistakes taken care of and win these last two and make the playoffs. LC really looks to be improved coming into next year.
Good luck to both and it appears we had no major injuires tonight which is good thing for both teams.
Total yards for LC 26 passing 270 rushing with 296 total.
Total yards for APB not reported but they said they had less than the dawgs. APB had the short field almost all night long.

270 yards rushing is great. Sounds like LC o-line played a good game.
Who's up next for LC?

LC offensive line played great tonight. The game had many plays that hurt each team. LC had SEVEN fumbles tonight and don't believe they lost a single one. The defensive strategy was great for LC tonight as they shut down Ian Holbrook. Fields Davis played an excellent game for Ashland. 15 carries for 86 yards and 2 TDs. Drew McDavid had two interceptions.
As coach Hart says, "Any win is a good win." Good win for the Tomcats tonight setting up the district championship for Ashland next week against Johnson Central (I would say district championship for both teams but JC still has to contend with Mason County).

It will be hard for JC to win at Ashland and then beat Mason at JC.

I don't know I see them running the rest of the table all the way to a regional championship game against Bell.

Congratulations Ashland PB..
I agree with you CatDawg. But Ashland could very well beat Bell this year. I hope so at least.

Why would you try to pull off a fake punt that deep in your own territory in the first quarter and only down by a score? That was a very stupid call in my opinion.

I agree GE and I think that really hurt them in the game. Not only did it give Ashland another score but it also got LC really down and took them sometime to get motivated again. I think APB is the better team this year but like I said earlier when your trying to pull an upset you have to be perfect and LC was anything but that tonight. You take that score off the board for APB and if LC could have put the 1st drive of the third qtr in and stopped fumbling then they might have been able to do just that. But its over now need to prepare and win the next two and make it to the playoffs and hope for a playoff spot. Good luck to both your eagles and the tomcats next week.
