I put a poll on here too so don't forget to vote.
This is one that a lot of people have been waiting for. If Ashland wins, they lock up a district championship. If Johnson Central wins and defeats Mason County, they will lock up the district championship.
Should be an incredible game at Historic Putnam Stadium this coming Friday. It will also be JFL night and Senior Night for the Tomcats. I normally reserve my picks for later in the week but I'm ready for this one tonight.
Ashland 28
Johnson 21

This should be a hard fought game. I think Ashlands defense is to disciplined and balanced. I think Ashland will be able to keep Blume and JCs running attack in check. Ashland wins this one 35 -21

This will be JC's toughest test so far this year. Matney and his staff have had 2 weeks to prepare for this game. It should be a great game

This is the game that decides the district championship IMO, regardless of what Mason does, and as good as Ashland's defense is I don't think they have what it takes to slow down the Eagles rushing attack. I have heard alot about Ashlands speed on defense, but they have not yet seen speed like Blume has. Experience would probabley go to Ashland, but I think Matney is more experienced than Hart, but on the other hand I belive he has ran out of elgibility . The game being at Putnam will give Ashland a slight edge there, but the crowd Central brings will be enough to overcome that IMO. This could be one of the more evenly matched games of the year, both teams are capable of walking away with wins if the other team gives just a little. I feel that Central has a more physical and aggressive offensive line and that could play a key part to the success or failure of the Eagles. I think this game will be hard fought all the way through, but in the end I think Central pulls it out. I never go against Coach Matney when he has 2 weeks to prepare. NEVER..

I am still undicided, being a tomcat fan, I am swaying toward the t-cats, but I havent been really impressed with first half gameplay, If ashland plays two halves watch out. Flowers don't Blume on ELM STREET. j/k! On the other hand I haven't been more undicided. Is it friday yet?

I voted for Ashland in this one, after what they did to my cats...i'm a believer. I would say this is one of the better Ashland teams that I have seen in a while and also one of the better if not best JC team that I have ever seen. But I say Ashland has too much team speed for JC, Brandon Peters from Pburg is faster than Blume and you saw what happened to Pburg, nothing to the outside all night long. The only way that I see JC being able to pull it out is with the deep ball to Tommy Taylor?? IDK his name but I saw him play in the Apple Bowl at WR and he is one of the most talented kids in the mountains.
