He will be trying to teach but he is going to help coach so far and he is trying to get a teaching job in at Shelby Valley or somewhere close to there.

SVHS will be nothing until they bring in a coach who is for the kids. Saunders continues to mistreat the kids and none of them like him. Now that Hampton is not there to smooth things over he will be lucky to field a team. He is a bad role model for those boys. They need to get Greg Newsome to take over.

well faith youre wrong they love saunders.....and he dosent mistreat kids without him we wouldnt even have a playoff win and im not sure greg would even coach valley in football it would be great for him to be the baseball coach

imo........ 7 wins and 2 postseason wins 9-3 overall

You sure about that? He's with the basketball team, his son plays basketball, I doubt he would even want to coach football.

If his son wanted to play football, I'm sure Greg Newsome would try. Saunders is a football coach. He can't go through being soft on all of them. He has to be hard sometimes. I agree sometimes he pushes it to far and causes players to try to fight him. But, he gets the point across. I think Saunders knows football. But I say Valley does real good considering their roster being mostly seniors. Their football season should be very exciting. I can't wait to watch the Wildcats hit the field this year. Saunders is a fine coach from what I've seen. I have had family who played for him and they love him. He does light a fire under the kids. And he seems to have a lot of football knowledge.

Losing Hampton is not going to hurt this team very much. They will be fine Hamptons main asset to this team was weightlifting. If Im not mistaken he still teaches it at Valley. So things will be fine.

Any one got any info if Dillion Hughes will be able to play this year or not? I know he was cheering for Valley but had to quit because of a heart issue.

ITs a big deal when everyone in the school hates you and will not help you. He had to pull someone from Pikeville to help and he will not be there long. He tried to take money out of Anthony's families pocket by telling him he couldn't drive a bus. He also done those other people wrong that helped him. He was horrible and very disrespectful to bobby Branham.

He doesn't teach anything at all. He is late or leaves early every day not telling anyone at the school he is leaving. He also has embarrassed the school in professional development being asked to leave and the principal has to drive him back to school.

He cusses at his players and his coaches like they are trash. He should never be aloud around those boys. Many times he has got into arguments with students.

The only reason he won that playoff game is because the schools changed to a weaker district. He has done nothing anyother coach hasn't done.

I would love to know who loves him on that team. I was told Hughes didn't want to play because of him.

Who is on his staff anyways?

ok B.J. Roberts here starting full back middle linebacker leading rusher and most tackles on the team. If u have a problem with the team dont post this thread isnt to put our team down. And btw i do like saunders, yes he can cuss u out during the game or practice but its just to make u better by the end of practice or the game hes hugging us and telling us how much where like sons to him, Dont make up storeys unless u know the enitre thing because i know for a fact ive never told ne one i hate sauders and i dont repect ppl getting on here saying EVERYONE hates him because your def not speaking for me, saunders has got us where we are and next year I will take down ne one in my way

saunders is by far the best coach that Valley has had.He may have his false but he can coach.If they don't like him don't play! Players should play and coaches coach.I know for a fact that Vanhoose wasn't crazy over Runyon but he made him better.

Saunders has done some bad things involving the school, but they are playing some of their best ball under him. Saunders isn't the nicest person in the world, but then again, not many people can claim they are.

Well im sure and just about every boy who has played HS Football has worked just as hard. It dosnt give you any right to be cocky about anything you have no idea about. I dont know about if any players you will play aganist are "ranked" in the state but im pretty sure your not either. Its ok to be condfident but unless your on the basketball team at Shelby Valley or unless you have won a championship or anything you really dont have anything to be cocky about. If this is Saunders is teaching his kids to act like there better then everyone else it may be a tough season for SV next season.

The SV FB program will dominate this year. As a parent IMO Saunders does an excellent job identifying the potential of players. He quickly learns the strengths and weaknesses of each player. Yes, he is sometimes portrayed by folks as being too tough and harsh. But- any of you who have witnessed Saunders when a player is in need or when a player does well will understand his dedication is to assist the players in learning the game and performing to the best of their ability. Most who complain either haven't watched well enough to see how he has guided/supported so many of these boys to accomplish what they are able to or they do not communicate well enough with their boys to know how they truly feel. He prepares these boys for the real world. He recognizes their strengths and insists they give nothing less than their best. Every member on the team is recognized for their dedication to the program. My son once told me that if Coach didn't yell at him when he did something wrong that meant he didn't show enough dedication or potential to be worth his time. Coach Saunders is doing an exceptional job. He continues to stand by and provide an excellent program opportunity for our boys when others have proven to be quitters. Coach Roberts also is an asset and has already begun providing excellent guidance and gained respect from the team. So---I would say the upcoming season will definitely be worth your time to watch and keep up with the SV WILDCATS...It will definitely be the best games in the state and I would be willing to say a first DISTRICT WIN for SV FOOTBALL !!! GO WILDCATS !!!
